May the Swartz be with you this Friday

Since July 1, Nobody has won more races at Northfield than Russ Swartz, so we will keep throwing out the obscure Mel Brooks reference whenever we can. his UDRS in that time is .312, so it is quality and quantity, even though Noble and -ROD ARE AROUND .400 in limited local duty. BTW- Number two in wins since July 1? Robin Miller.

Here are the picks. Good luck.

Race 1: 8 Medoland Jesse- Soft group, but I have a hunch this one may go forward despite the snowman; 6 Jarmoto- Post doesn’t help her, but she fits; 4 Jills Elegance- Newcomer may need a local start.

Race 2: 3 Storms Never Last- Razor sharp and was absolutely awesome last week, class jump no issue, imo; 6 What’s Your Fantasy- Beat these last time but isn’t as effective from out here; 1 Dream Misty- Factors from the rail.

Race 3: 1 Jj’s Request- Has the rail. If you can find a better angle here, play it; 2 Friendly Kathy- Gest fresh hands and an inside draw; 3 Dragon Lily- Oh, the joys of being a public handicapper.

Race 4: 2 Karrydale Charm- Lasix and barn change may make her Sugg-cessful; 1 Makybe Diva- Rail may not help this iffy-gaited behind the gate youngster, but let’s take a shot; 5 Vivacious Raider- Showing improvement over last two races; 8 Ursula K- First time Swartz and he is red-hot over the last couple weeks.

Race 5: 4 Sa De Me Lady- May be better 2nd time Lasix with a catch-driver; 1 Savannah Girl- Races evenly & may be a bit forward from the rail; 3 Silky Sailor- One of these days she’ll refined the form that has won 60 career races.

Race 6: 2 scoot To The Top- Trip just didn’t work out last time, another chance; 5 All Over Now- Raced well with Swartz, who has more wins here than anyone since July 1; 9 Thessaly- Seems to be improving with Lasix.

Race 7: 5 Miss Port Foal Leo- Drops down after doing intermittent work against better; 3 Back Home Again- All about the draw for this one; 4 Darting Larkin- Contended with these last time despite an awful draw; 6 Imagine Freedom- Form cycle seems upwards and she may surprise here.

Race 8: 5 Gadjet- One of these days the Swartz will truly be with her; 12 Saratoga’s Best- Is this a for sale sign, or just trying to find a class to race her? 4 Theprincessdeals- Dominates last time, but Swartz chose off.

Race 9: 1 Boo Hoo- Massive class drop after very good efforts against much better; 2 St Jated Strike- good draw for yet another one who has gone forward for Russ; 5 Gram Of Gold- Seems this sulker actually tried in 3 of last 4.

Race 10: 3 Campside Angel- Beat these easily with a solid performance and now get Angus; 1 Jessies Band- Moves up, but seems to be improving; 7 Sunrise Sunset- May not be close enough early, but she impressed me last week; 8 Jimi’s Little Wing- As consistent as they come, but can she overcome the snowman?

Race 11: 6 Fast Attack- Seemed to be in position when things broke; 9 Electric Presence- Was competitive her only time racing at this level; 4 Paint Tina- Seems like a different animal if you fire her up off the wings.

Race 12: 2 Mach N Cookies- Drops to the level of last win and shows adequate work, I’ll take 15-1; 4 Moira’s Intended- NW1L8 has an advantage here despite iffy form; 8 Whoville- Bad draw, but she is the other NW1L8.

Race 13: 3 Hurricane Hanna- Has previous local success, needs a better trip than the last one; 2 Soaring Cloud- Always hangs around and the two hole won’t hurt; 6 Drop Of Nutmeg- Gotta love those Nova Scotia-breds, especially down in class; 4 Sadie Falcon- Always hangs around, but needs to do more to be better on this ticket.
