Saturday 7/16 picks

Packing up and getting ready to leave Vernon Downs. Had a poor night at the windows tonight (first night of live racing) but hit a $12 winner late to keep close to even.

BTW- Nest Saturday, I will be hosting the Battle of Lake Erie show (7/23) at Northfield. Stop by and say hello. Good Luck!

Race 1: 3 Can’t Fence Me In- Has been knocking at the door and may provide value; 7 Anastasia Wildfire- The likely favorite is not as effective from out here; 1 Possessive Power- Rail helps considerably.

Race 2: 2 Up Front Carl- Have to love the eligible-at-time-of-entry at the absolute bottom; 5 Happy Hylight- Has always been a tease, but maybe the drop will help; 1 Triggerhappyfellow- Needs to finish, but shows some speed.

Race 3: 6 Near The Limit- This ETE isn’t as sure, he actually moves up; 4 Christina Victory- Needs to show a bit more pop late; 1 Lady Rev- Hepner has done an outstanding job with this mare. Ignore at your own risk.

Race 4: 2 Cambest In Motion- Let’s see if he builds on an impressive win at the bottom; 1 Heez Ruthless N- Has two wins in the last five and arguably beat better in last; 4 Currently Flying- Another chance in the new barn; 5 Worries Stay Small- Class relief helps, but he is not showing quite the pop we are used to.

Race 5: 6 Big Valley- Another chance after a tough trip in last. Needs to leave aggressively; 1 Depravedhedonist- Gets the rail after a string of generally awful posts; 5 Bodandy Andy- The sick scratch is a major concern.

Race 6: 4 Intrepid Orion- Hunts for his third straight life mark; 2 Fox Valley Flyby- A bit above his best level; 5 Fantasy Character- Showing signs of life recently.

Race 7: 1 Ata Ata- First time Charlino and the rail get him to the winners circle; 2 Goodnite Wilbur- Needs to finish stronger; 4 Kb’s On My Toes- Another one who needs stronger final 16ths; 9 Fox Valley Sly- Should get the perfect trip to wrap up this super.

Race 8: 4 Rapid Pursuit- Razor sharp and gets the eligible-at-time-of-entry angle; 6 Tooter Lane- Repeats last week’s exacta; 2 Raps A Million- Showing signs of life the last couple of starts, consider.

Race 9: 6 Delivered Rules- It’s not like he raced bad in the Buffalo9 Open; 2 I Know Your Lookin- Lost to my choice in his last start; 1 Gordieisanartist- Do not ignore, especially from the rail.

Race 10: 2 Go Cowboy Go-Ultra-consistent pacer gets the call in a competitive field; 1 Left’em Standing- Impressed last time with the good draw; 3 Mattonthechooch- Tough trip last time, give him another chance; 8 Pw Tootsie- Racing well, but the snowman may do him in.

Race 11: 1 Gold Fever- Looks for three-in-a-row with Aaron and the rail; 4 Magnificent Gift- Always right there, but no recent”1s” on the card; 6 sharp Shuttle- Draws bestr of the fours and has been facing much better.

Race 12: 5 Soul Redeemer- Jus a hunch he is sitting on a big effort; 3 Western Jack- The trip o Telegraph Rd seems to have awakened him; 1 Gyraider- Gets the rail and class relief.

Race 13: 5 Samcin- The continuing theme of ETE for this one; 2 Laughing Is An Art- Best draw in ages and some back class; 4 Cunning Design- Third back angle and showed improvement in the 2nd start; 9 Christmas Photo K- Gets Lasix and seemd to be improving.
