Wednesday wonders and musings

Just heard this. Why didn't Lebron James go to college? He didn't want to show up for the finals.

So, my home office has two large windows overlooking Lee Road, a pretty busy street. Windows were a luxury I never had when I worked at Northfield (not just me, very few of us) so I enjoy the air and the sights and sounds. I often work from my front porch thanks to the advent of wireless technology. And I have to say, my neighborhood has some of the ugliest dogs in the world. I am not a dog guy, but I appreciate labs and shepherds and even specific breeds of terriers. But we have the most non-descript, funny-looking cartoon animals being walked in front of my house that i have ever seen. At least the majority of them are on leashes (and hopefully are spayed or neutered). Okay, observations over, on to the races.

$10K Guaranteed Pick 4 Races 8-11 (14% takeout)

The play: 1256/256/1/12= $24
and 26/256/17/12- $24 $48 total wagered.

Analysis:

Race 8: The class relief helps 6)Fox Valley Flyby who campaigns for a sharp barn, but 2)Samcin may trip out here. 1)Auto Pilot defends the rail and 5)Heez Ruthless is my longshot pick.
Race 9: I thought 6) Ilooklikerudy raced pretty well with Kurt Sugg in the bike for the first time. Look for a big mile from him. 2) SJ's Manawa Sam comes off consecutive life marks and will be favored and 5)High Gear Speed is in good form.
Race 10:1)Panskrit is my best bet of the night and I want to thank Director of Racing Dave Bianconi for putting this race int he Pick 4. 7) Go Cowboy Go still has some upside as a recent Ehrhardt acquisition coming off a life mark.
Race 11:Looks like the inside two are the only valid players here.

And the whole card:
Race 1:5 Llc- Has to win eventually & still meets 10% career threshold; 2 Trytopass Sam- Fresh & should improve with a start under his belt; 1 Mr Sam- Showed improvement first time Noble and gets him again.

Race 2: 6 Impressive Mariah- Lukewarm call in a race where I prefer to abstain; 9 Danny-o- Has the same number of ’11 wins as Lebron has rings; 1 Lost Photo- Robin chose over the ML choice, rail helps.

Race 3:2 Eclipse Seelster- Has drawn miserably of late & post two helps. A lot; 1 Big Valley- Another one with improved position. Will “The Falcon” fly? 5 Macinnis Seelster- Freshened and did a little work in return.

Race 4: 3 Make My Day Mary- Talk about a troubled trip. Yikes! 6 Man I’m Good- Closed well in career debut, how much more does she have? 5 Sparkle Tina- Has faced better and had an excuse in her local return; 7 Mr Ballistic- Moves up but has shown some ability, victim of the pace here.

Race 5: 2 Tally Ho Don- Gets Noble and I doubt these go :55.1 like the qualifier; 3 Raging Bull- Always does work, needs to sustain it this time; 5 Hickory Hunter- A bit inconsistent, but must consider with these.

Race 6: 2 Just Walter- Drops to the level of his last win; 6 Shekinah Glory- Stalking sort will need to work out a trip but adds value; 5 Freedom Hall- Always hangs around and must be used on the ticket.

Race 7: 5 Wow Power- Third back angle from a NW1L8 class-dropper; 4 Chocolate Crush- Perked up with the drop to the absolute bottom; 1 Up Front Northern- On the board three straight, makes it four tonight; 9 Liltycantbedenied- Let us down last week but must be used on this super ticket.

Race 8: 6 Fox Valley Flyby- Drops and has been racing well for ridiculously hot barn; 2 Samcin- Best post in two months and has still raced well; 5 Heez Ruthless N- Has back class, perhaps a wake-up call in last?

Race 9: 6 Ilooklikerudy- Closed well 1st-time Sugg & may be even better here; 2 Sj’s Manawa Sam- Easily handled slightly lesser in last, his first with Noble; 1 Hogue’s Rockie- Triple class drop and the rail.

Race 10: 1 Panskrit- Best bet of the night. There’s your Giss of Death; 7 Go Cowboy Go- Has raced well for Ehrhardt, post hurts; 9 Crown Time Rambo- Won’t draw first blood from the second tier; 4 Race Track Cruiser- Minor contender with a positive post draw.

Race 11: 2 Fancy Schmansy- Ground out a first-over bid that faltered, better trip tonight; 1 Doowrah’s Trifold- Will defend the rail but needs to step up; 6 J D’s Turismo- Has faced better with little success.

Race 12: 4 Bella Bionda- Looks slightly best in a very well-matched group; 8 Scooter In Motion- Would get my call if she hadn’t drawn the snowman; 9 Zhihong Pang- Always hanging around. Must do more.

Race 13: 1 I’ve Got Life- Back down the road with his nose on the gate; 6 Triggerhappyfellow- Shows some decent closing efforts and sets up well here; 3 Jeremy’s Chaser- The only NW1L8 in here must be considered; 9 Goodnite Wilbur- A horse is a horse, of course, of course.
