Wednesday June 22

After a 100 hole golf marathon Monday, I am trying to get all my various body parts working with full range of motion again, so I apologize if we have (more than the usual number of) typos.

Pick 4 Races 8-11
$10K Guaranteed 14% Takeout

A great night on Monday's card with 7 or 8 winners and a positive ROI, but did not pick a single winner in the Pick 4, with my single finishing 2nd. Had several 2 of 4 tickets and that pays the same as my son pays rent. Nada.

Here is Wednesday's play. It looks to be a pretty tough one.

Analysis:

Race 8:1) DD Cam Ram has drawn poorly of late and now gets the rail and Noble, who chose over #2/3/6. 2) Delaware Fortune doesn't win much, but contends often. 5) Slade Gram is just a professional racehorse who must be considered from any decent draw.

Race 9: 4)Bella Bionda is relatively green and we have used her at a good number the past two weeks. Won't be 10-1 here. 3) Zhihong Pang is one of those frustrating animals who is either very good or very poor and gives no advance indication. 8) Firm Jet is the best in this race but seems to need the front. Can he get it from out here. And 2) Suited N Booted must be considered with Noble.

Race 10:4) Lee A Bryant is a solid animal who always does work. 2)Lucifer Bluegrass drops waaaaaayyyy down in awful form. Can't take the chance on him waking up by leaving him out.

Race 11: Noble and Stahl chose their drives here and both are serious improvements over the trainers, who normally drive. Slight call to #2)Liftoff Bayama over #1) Big Valley, but both need to be on the ticket.

Here is analysis on the whole card;

Race 1: 1 Candy J- Winning Q may mean she has more to show against a very soft group; 3 Impressive Mariah- Has been anything but, but gets fresh hands; 5 None For Me- His name or his win record this year?

Race 2: 2 Jessejo- Looked very impressive with hopples & may have more to offer; 1 Clayton Delaney- 3rd back & racing well, should win, but at ridiculously short odds; 5 Rose Run Freddie- Best of the rest.

Race 3: 2 Goodite Wilbur- Finally draws well and having Noble won’t hurt; 5 Search The Falcon- Drops to the bottom and should contend; 7 Eclipse Seelster- Yet another bad draw, but has ability.

Race 4: 6 Heza Firecracker- Class relief following a very strong effort; 9 Big Bad Tj- Arguable they best horse, I just think he’ll need a start; 2 Chocolate Crush- NW1L8 gets his best draw since I worked at the track full-time; 4 Hickory Hunter-Usually hangs around from decent post draws.

Race 5: 5 Fitsgonnahitdashan- The call just for his name & good effort in local debut; 2 A Legend At Last- Did huge work in career debut, serious player; 7 Beware Of The Diva- Good advice w/Noble driving.

Race 6: 3 Freedom Hall- Harris to Noble may pick him up slightly; 4 Final Scorpion- drops a couple classes and must be considered; 1 Chippin Snow- Class dropper must trot the mile in this one.

Race 7: 3 Perry- Maybe the 4th track in 4 starts gets him home; 2 Gran Mer Jac- Straub and Stahl, the pair rarely fall; 6 Cruisin The Waves- Has been competitive in conditioned-claimers; 7 Brother Of Another- Actually, brother of several who have raced here, faces softer tonight.

Race 8: 1 Dd Cam Ram- Has been inconsistent, but I think it’s due to post position; 2 Delaware Fortune- Moves up and Noble moves off; 5 Slade Gram- Professional race horse must always be considered.

Race 9: 4 Bella Bionda- Still green and still improving; 3 Zhihong Pang- Stahl’s choice from among 1/3/5/9; 8 Firm Jet- Very fast, but it seems he needs the front & I don’t see him getting it from the snowman.

Race 10: 4 Lee A Bryant- Big closing kick gives him the call in a tough group to ‘cap; 1 Rapid Pursuit- Has tactical speed, gets Stahl and the rail; 2 Lucifer Bluegrass- Could win by ten or lose by twenty, the monkey wrench in the works; 6 Rocco’s Revenge- Has been facing better, but is all over the place.

Race 11: 2 Liftoff Bayama- Big win with Stahl two back; 1 Big Valley- Gets Noble, would like him more w/Barbara Stanwyck; 3 Mr Kite- Veteran is inconsistent, but draws well, sort of like the late Harvey Pekar.

Race 12: 3 Snooz Attack- Third back, class drop and Noble, who chose over 2/4/5; 4 Sultan Desbi- Gets fresh hands; 7 Mcfriendly- Ususally does work and may sustain it in this evenly-matched field.

Race 13: 3 Lima Jag- Only because Wyatt chose over #2, who was my original pick; 2 Blueridge Tooquick- Had no shot from the snowman in his local return; 1 Ron Jeremy- Showed signs of waking up in last and the rail helps; 9 House Of Green- Has proven he can hang around at this level.
