Friday fillies and mares

I may actually be at the track for a few races Friday if I can clear my schedule and weather cooperates.

Good luck!

Race 1: 4 Date Worthy- She’s the only one in here carrying a tag, big advantage; 5 Catherinethegreat- Is the fastest winner of these, but without victory recently; 7 Sturgeon- Risky off a break, but raced well in new barn debut.

Race 2: 2 Vivacious Raider- Lukewarm call with Stahl in the bike; 9 Matt-scoot-n-bunny- Just a hunch and we need some value to play this race; 3 Swift Samantha- Inconsistent, but contends with her best.

Race 3: 1 Acoustic Hanover- Sounds good to me with Sugg choosing over #3; 3 Spiced Pork- Nice trotter, but Kurt chose off; 4 Brewing Master- I need a beer with that pork, this one is better than the lines show.

Race 4: 3 I Am Samsational- Faces a pretty soft group here; 2 Jjs Request- Has shown a bit and Harvey chose over #1; 6 Lisa Character- Contends with her best, but is an up-and-downer; 1 Hawthorne Maria- Has a bhit of speed and may contend from the rail.

Race 5: 1 Ima Cricket Also- Stahl and the rail get her the win; 4 Go Merrily Along- The string of place finishes continues; 8 R Cowboy- Not sure this old guy can overcome the snowman, but he’s worth a shot against these.

Race 6: 6 Jimi’s Little Wing- I’ve always liked this mare and she is in a good spot here; 1 Friendly Kathy- Winless on the season, but may be a player from the rail; 6 Sand Bird- Another winless one, but the barn’s been warming up.

Race 7: 4 Paint Tina- Unlike the others, she still has upside; 2 Memphis Glow- the obvious odds-on choice and a likely winner; 3 Scandalous- Showed signs of warming up last time; 8 Capital Baby- Depends on the trip from out here, but a longshot bottom-of-the ticket choice.

Race 8: 3 Storms Never Last- Robin chooses to the Hollar horse, as usual, so flash gets stuck with Stahl; 1 Sara’s Lil Sis- Should get the trip she needs from the rail and may surprise; Longlegacy- Fast, but doesn’t always fire.

Race 9: 7 Sj’s Manawa Sam- No idea what his upside is, but the likely fave has been tiring; 3 Lucca’s Revenge- Will be on the point until at least mid-stretch; 5 Rose Run Mac- Crawford & McKirgan are a good trotting combo.

Race 10: 6 Osborne’s Sweeper- I know regular readers are absolutely shocked by this pick; 2 Drop Of Nutmeg- I’ve always liked her and she may be best of the rest with Robin; 1 Admirals Diamond- Likes this track and the rail, tool; 4 Caribean Cruise- Nice, honest mare. Could easily be 2nd or 3rd.

Race 11: 1 Enticing Attack- Gets the rail and Kurt Sugg, who chose her over #3/7/8; 7 Saratoga’s Best- Always gives good effort, but PP7 may be hard to overcome; 4 Eradikate- This filly is going to figure it all out one day.

Race 12: 2 Electric Presence- Love the Stahl/Melloy angle, especially since Ryan chose off the ML pick; 1 My Sweet Lorelei- Put her in a good position and she will give you effort; 4 Fantastic Fran- On memories alone.

Race 13: 6 Cruisin Delight- Comes in off a win against softer, lukewarm call here; 3 She’s All Country- We’ve got that Stahl/Melloy thing going again; 1 Sadie Falcon- Not a fan, but she must be considered from the rail; 9 I Love Being Right- Just needs to follow the 1 and she will get a decent result.
