Wacky Wednesday and a Kentucky Derby suggestion

$10K Guaranteed Pick 4-play. Gonna try to hit it for $2:
15/169/123/12=$36
15/69/123/1- $12

Analysis:
Race 8: Soul Redeemer is a major player from the rail and although Noble Thought hasn't won recently, his current form means he must be used.

Race 9: Not wild about any of these, and you might consider going deeper here.

Race 10: Noble was listed on nearly every horse, but chose 1) Medoland Tess. Phagus hall keeps running into horses making monster efforts and Zipsnapndrop showed he may be back with his win at the bottom last week.

Race 11: 1) Go Cowboy Go is first-time in the Ehrhardt barn, which is about money in the bank, even though he may not look it on paper. Not like Dan Noble hurts you here 2)Auto Pilot has back class and finally won a race last start, which makes him a scary competitor.

The Kentucky Derby is Saturday. Tradition states that you drink mint juleps on this day. A mint julep is a drink that encourages you to take the finest whiskey ever invented, bourbon, and ruin it with crushed mint leaves and sugar water. Sugar water? Even Woodford Reserve, one of the top, if overpriced bourbons made, encourages this travesty. Here is a simple fact. The mint julep must be made with cheap bourbon, in order to make it remotely drinkable. Better yet, make it with Scotch. But if you must, here is my recipe for a perfect mint julep.

Fill 12 oz. glass with crushed ice.
Make a simple syrup (sugar and water) and add muddled mint leaves and add to another glass.
Fill the glass with a quality bourbon. Elijah Craig 18 year is unreal, and Buffalo Trace and Elijah Craig 12 year are quality bourbons at reasonable price.
Now, take the simple syrup and pour it into your room humidifier. You will get just a hint of the mint flavor in the air without ruining the bourbon.

Glad I could help. Here are the rest of the picks

Race 1: 6 Audit- Has a ton of back class and the local debut was a good one; 5 Jarmoto- Love the eligible-at-time-of-entry angle, but the 6 is much better; 1 Rockin H Royal Dot- Sugg chose over the 3, why not look for a price?

Race 2: 2 Celebrity Wonder- NW1L8 and class relief puts him atop my ticket; 6 Llc- Moving into a positive form cycle and has always been streaky; 3 Redzilla- Shows some good work at this level.

Race 3: 5 Catherinethegreat- Gets the ETE angle off a lifetime best; 4 Medoland Jesse- Gets along well with Noble, or vice versa; 2 Diehl’s Deal- Has more claims than a shrimp fisherman in Louisiana.

Race 4: 3 Blueridge Empress- We won’t see Eligible-at-time-of-entry much with the new draw schedule, so let’s jump on it one last time; 4 Electric Highlight- NW1L8 always hangs around; 5 Moon River Dell- Was decent in his return and may improve; 7 Triggerhappyfellow- Very lukewarm choice from outside and off a sick scratch.

Race 5: 1 Radiant Star- Gets the rail and our Angle Du Jour (or is that angle De La Nuit?) 6 Jenabell- Gets fresh hands with Noble for Josh; 5 Scoot To The Top- Another chance after the free-legged break.

Race 6: 3 One Day Wonder- Had nearly as good an April as the Indians, moves up, should still win; 2 Benn’s Thunder- Also moves up in good form; 5 Count Dracula- Closes moderately every start, on the ticket only.

Race 7: 4 Dm Fatboy Slim- NW1L8 gets a slight call since he has won a couple this year and current form is good; 7 Ata Ata- Tough trip in last and now gets Noble, post hurts; 1 Eagle Jacob- Could be just about anything from the rail; 2 Lawsuit- Needed the last start and should finish better with a red-hot Kurt Sugg,

Race 8: 1 Soul Redeemer- Veteran is a different animal from the rail; 5 Noble Thought- Good current form, but where are the wins? 4 Little Big Man Vmw- Had faced better and qualifier wasn’t bad.

Race 9: 9 High Gear Speed- Always gives effort and finds a group he can handle here; 6 Sandblast- Has back class and must be considered this cheap; 1 Corporate Politics- Gets the rail and has stalking speed.

Race 10: 1 Medoland Tess- Noble listed on the #1/#4/#5/#6/#8/#9, he chose this one. “nuff said. 3 Zipsnapndrop- Moves up off a very good win; 2 Phagus Hall- Always does work and must be considered; 4 Fancy Schmansy- Has been the most consistent I ever remember lately.

Race 11: 1 Go Cowboy Go- First time Ehrhardt, gets Noble and a the rail; 2 Auto Pilot- Finally got the first seasonal win and may start racing better; 6 House Of Green- Just a hunch.

Race 12: 2 I’ve Got Life- Classy old guy has come back fresh the last few years; 3 Samcin- Will challenge for the front; 1 Western Eddie- Drops back down to the level of his last win, but current form is suspect.

Race 13: 9 Deena- Has the best current form, there are enough non-winners that 0-11 isn’t that big a minus and Sugg chose over 2 and 5; 2 On The Money- Was easily in the money dropping to this level; 5 You Never Let Go- Sort of, kind of a third back angle and gets Stahl; 4 Medoland Kendall- Inconsistent, but fresh hands may help.
