A pretty good weekend, giving out both Pick 4s, even though one was pretty chalky, still, the account is looking good and this Saturday, 4/9, I will be at Northfield in person for the first time in two months to support the Orange Boosters. Pretty excited and hoping for cigar-smoking weather on the apron. Good luck.
Race 1: 2 Brother Nick- Did good work against better in 1st start off Lasix, slight call; 4 High Sonyador- Has been hanging around & is a player here; 1 Playing To Win- I’d be playing to show, or maybe place.
Race 2: 2 Spiced Pork- Miss Tilly refuses to win, so he becomes the choice; 5 Miss Tilly- Clearly the best form, but beaten at 1-5 in last; 3 Jh Action- Decent in limited opportunity at two, consider.
Race 3: 6 Ivor Hanover- Was bothered in last, another chance; 1 Fiesty Kindof Luv- Gets class and post relief; 3 Impressive Mariah- Has been anything but, but figures if she can finish stronger,
Race 4: 6 Standin On A Beach- Benefited from the drop down and gets Noble; 4 Heza Firecracker- exploded to the front in local debut, but blew up in the stretch; 5 Doowrah’s Deal- Class dropper fits with his best, but is inconsistent; 9 Aliquippa- Drops to level of last win, but has been awful since.
Race 5: 4 B Afflicted- This appears to “b” a soft group for the class; 7 Medoland Jessie- Moves up and gets Noble, did win last from out here; 6 Girls’ Getaway- Nice two-year-old showed little in the qualifier.
Race 6: 4 Scoot To The Top- NW1L8, now free-legged, qualified well & gets relief off the freshening; 9 Vivacious Raider- Also NW1L8, has tons of back class; 3 Eagle Creek Beauty- Must sustain her work.
Race 7: 4 Gate Keeper- Very impressive in last, should roll; 7 Garland’s Brat- Probably faster than my pick, but post hurts; 9 Lucca’s Revenge- Wyatt chose off to drive #4; 3 Legacy Chip- A break and two bad posts last three, a possibility here.
Race 8: 7 Shacketon Hanover- Super streaky and in a an “up” cycle now; 9 Magnificent Gift- Drops to the level of his last win; 1 G Rod- Speedster should benefit from the rail.
Race 9: 8 Hello Carlo- Snowman is an issue, but triple class drop off a win as an eligible-at-time-of entry; 4 Mr Sam- Drops two classes below his last winl; 2 S F Spiderman- Lasix helped and now gets Stahl.
Race 10: 4 Epes- Noble’s choice over 1/3/9 should make it two-in-a-row; 6 Ron Jeremy- Used hard last time, another chance; 5 Leroy Mot- Impressive qualifier on a day when the track was more like -5 seconds than -3; 9 Whispers Art- Was much better in last, may get a good trip here.
Race 11: 2 Pathway Dot Com- Overmatched at PcD, but still bet a bit there, easy winner; 5 One Day Wonder- Consistent performer moves up and should challenge; 4 My Mystique- Decent draw helps her.
Race 12: 9 Green Acre Pill- Love the fresh horse angle in this class, decent Q; 4 Jack Maverick- Very consistent, but not winning; 1 Homer Simpson- I like the late work from him at this class.
Race 13: 3 Capricious Art- Lukewarm call after a beaten favorite effort Saturday; 1 Rocco’s Revenge- Eligible-at-time-of-entry but showed little in that ione, better two back; 2 C And C Hoorah- Will fresh hands help him? 6 Forever Friendly- Noble’s choice has done work, but trips are nor working out.
