Monday Morning, You Sure Look Fine

Just to let you know, I will be working with the Harness Horse Youth Foundation as a Project Manager for the foreseeable future. This position will not affect my Northfield picks or anything else I am doing or plan to do. I would ask you to check out the HHYF website at www.hhyf.org to see what the sport's leading educational outreach organization does. It should be great working both with media and with kids (I know, hard to tell the difference sometimes) and I am excited, especially for the summer when programming really starts. Good luck.

Race 1: 4 Israeli Hall- Was flying late last time, a similar effort wins this; 2 Scooter In Motion- Gets class relief, but the time off is a worry; 1 Be Bop Beauty- Consider from the rail.
Race 2: 3 Hollys Wild Thing- Has contended and is the only NW1L8 here; 8 Danny-o- Has been roughed up and may be again, but does work; 2 He’s Fulla Chip- Usually does a little work.
Race 3: 6 Designer Cruise- Has done solid work over the last month; 1 Native Fate- Has speed, so we must consider him from the rail; 8 Osbornes Potential- Most consistent of these, but the snowman hurts.
Race 4: 3 Hickory Hunter- Aaron may pick him up slightly; 4 Love Shark-Raced well in his local debut; 8 Shannons Boy Scout- Gets fresh hands here, but a bad draw; 2 Priceless Picture- Showed speed at Windsor, may like the shorter stretch.

Race 5: 4 Toronado Mindale- Should get his fourth straight here; 2 Phagus Hall- Post hurt him last two, ignore at your own risk; 5 Rhino- First time Noble and could horn in on the action.

Race 6: 4 Mickey Deez- NW1L8 gets Aaron here; 2 Fortune King- Very professional and must be considered; 6 Royal Cat- Needs a trouble-free trip and he can contend.

Race 7: 9 Liltycantbedenied- Very few of these like to win, it’s been awhile, but this one does; 2 Houdini Sahbra- At 0-38, has just the 4th worst win percentage ’10-11! 3 A Firm Kisser- Gets his best draw in quite a while; 5 Magic Dart- The class of the field is not in good form right now.

Race 8: 4 Gunner Osborne- Big improvement last time with Noble; 2 Nutmegs Desire- Well-bred and well connected, could be anything; 5 Bella Bionda- Did solid work in the Q, had high hopes at two.

Race 9: 3 Anastasia Wildfire- Convinced me last week, which means she’ll probably run; 1 Abba Zabra-Will protect the post & is a solid player; 9 Silent Star- Just needs to follow the one and use passing lane.

Race 10: 7 Roman Knows Best- Will be on the point and may last against these; 1 Mcfriendly- The rail is big in this class; 9 Arturoteen- Raced well with the move to Stahl; 5 Sky Strikes- Can hang around in this group.

Race 11: 1 Hooser Lion- Should contend from the rail; 2 Noble Thought- Has been consistent last four and may turn the tables here; 6 Go Cowboy Go- May have gotten a wake-up call in his last start.

Race 12: 2 Rocco’s Cavallo- Drops to the bottom and Fancy may be overbet; 7 Fancy Schmansy- Gets Josh and has been consistent, but is winless in ’11; 3 Up Front Carl- It’s all about the post draw for him.

Race 13: 1 Keystone Ranger- Has raced well locally and gets Charlino again; 2 Leo Hanover- Needs to sustain his work. I’m not “lion,” 9 Christmas Photo K- Has been competing, but Charlino chose off; 4 Western Empire- Has tons of back class but is not racing very well right now.
