Friday follies

We had a pretty good Friday night last week and a lot of the same mares, but t he prices will be shot to h-e-double toothpicks. My kingdom for 8-05 on Shelbys Muneymaker again, but it ain't happening. Trust me. Would love to see the Pick 5 or Pick 4 carryover to Saturday's card. I'm in the winners circle. Say hello!

Race 1: 6 Envy- As soft as she has faced in 2 months, cruises; 2 Stox Up Bluegrass- Continues her run of good post draws, contender; 4 Silvers Luck- Not sure Koch will get along with her.

Race 2: 6 Ben’s Pass- When Henry calls the catch driver, you can call his number; 8 Timbogo- Solid Q and good trot barn, but the snowman in a first lifetime start is tough; 4 Imatalkertoo- Was better in the seasonal debut than all year at two.

Race 3: 1 N L Solar Wind- Lukewarm call from the rail in a lukewarm group; 3 Youaretheonlyone- Has done moderate work despite a string of awful posts; 8 Nf Wind Chimes- Wyatt chose to the rail, but last start was eye-opening.

Race 4: 3 Ballad Seelster- Inconsistent, but post helps tons; 2 Jan Jet- Charlino never had a chance before, but last week she was awful; 5 Slick-as-sleet- Might have the Wright stuff; 7 Raider Time- Should get a better trip tonight. She needs it.

Race 5: 3 Superstripe- Rolls if flat, but a big if; 7 Count On Kate- Could easily close this one off, improving and a big mile in last; 2 Isn’t She Precious- 1st time Charlino, despite the poor form.

Race 6: 2 Shadowcross Arose- Impressed in last and gets Stahl again; 4 Radiant Star- Most consistent of these; 3 Scoot To The Top- Always does work at this level and can contend.

Race 7: 3 All About Jenny- Just 1 of 34 life, but has been better with Lasix; 1 Flaming Trick- 1st time Charlino, the rail & 3rd back angle, but lost by 50+ combined in last 2; 8 Mindy Love Brown- Love the class drop & 3rd back, hate the post; 7 Ursula K- Another dropper with a bad draw.

Race 8: 9 Bullys Joni- Driver change may make her Sugg-cessfull; 6 Towner’s Big Sadie- Has faced far better, but may need a start in the new barn; 8 On The Money- 1st time Charlino, but not that effective from the outside.

Race 9: 5 Tally Ho Chip- Drops below the level of her last win for a hot trot driver; 7 Ms Denali- May have figured things out, finally… 2 Krissy K- Better be forward with this draw for Green.

Race 10: 2 Shelbys Muneymaker- Winstead has “slumped” below .500, but this mare ought to cruise. No 8-5 here; 1 Drop Of Nutmeg- Racing the best in her career; 9 Dynastar- Moves up but should get a perfect trip behind the #1 & #2; 4 C R Hope- Racing well against similar at ScD.

Race 11: 6 Weekie Wachie- Charlino on an Oliverio-trainee has winner written all over it. What took so long? 4 Life’s Ember- Improving mare moves up in local debut; 1 Dappers Flash- Could be good from the rail.

Race 12: 4 Game Portia- The first person who e-mails me with the angle here wins a prize; 6 Back Home Again- Class dropper factors well here; 5 Friendly Kathy- Seems to be improving.

Race 13: 1 Quite A Shark- Figures to get a perfect trip; 6 Mad Cap- No chance in last two against better from outside; 8 Sand Song- Charlino chose over the 4 & 7, but snowman is a killer for a three-year-old; 4 Jjs Request- Drops to level of her win five back, consider.
