Monday Madness- One Step Beyond

Dave B has the televised picks tonight as I prepare for our Palyers Club mailing and I took a few flyers here. Good luck and watch the board.

Race 1: 3 Scoot’n’s Shadow- Raced well in local debut and should go forward with a start on the half under his belt; 4 Jeannies Luck- Deaton chose the $650 Delaware purchase over the 1 and 2; 9 Lady’s Dreamboat- Still green and can improve.

Race 2: 1 Redzilla- Will be tough with a flat mile, but that is iffy from the rail; 8 Larry Coy- Imo, best horse, worst post, may still overcome it; 6 Moneyman- Gets Deaton with Russ on 8.

Race 3: 5 Ge’s Antonio- Massive class relief, but why did Deaton choose to the $500 Maletz horse? 1 Color Me Black- Drops back to the level of his last win as he tries for $100K career before mandatory retirement; 3 Stanley B Du Lac- Honestly, I don’t get it, but I guess E.D. does.

Race 4: 5 Phagus Hall- $2500 Delaware purchase goes to a good 1st time barn; 1 Spellbinder- The class of the field, will be overbet; 4 Special Weefold- No chance in local debut, draw helps; 2 Climb The Ladder- Raced okay in his first start over the Flying Turns.

Race 5: 3 Mario’s Schazti- Consistent and likely bests these; 1 Onewinginthefire- Hard to take seriously with one start a month; 7 J And S Hoover- Has raced here previously, may need start.

Race 6: 9 Honorable Guy- Razor sharp, but as always, a prisoner to the fractions; 3 Rainbow Review- Solid when not beating himself; 4 Llc- Has speed and faced better in last several races.

Race 7: 3 As If I’m Magic- Drops below the level of his last win, should roll; Elm Grove Gerson- Class relief did him a world of good last week; 1 Chisum- Draw is the key here, could surprise; 8 Hot Soup- Draw is the key here, could surprise (yes, I know I repeated myself).

Race 8: 4 Little More Faith- No chance in last from the snowman; 9 Tooter Lane- Racing better since the barn change; 5 Dart Trick- Recent form is improving, consider on the ticket.

Race 9: 6 Chippednstrawberry- Best horse, worst name, easy winner; 2 Carry In The Wood- Has upside and a good draw; 5 Macs Audrey- Can hang with these & add value to the trifecta.

Race 10: 1 Road Storm- $1300 Delaware horse was credible against better in local debut; 9 Bubontherun- Always on the ticket and 15 wins in ’09; 3 Hoosier Lion- Has been better with Lasix; 6 Zipsnapndrop- Beat similar first time Kurt and may be a value.

Race 11: 4 Krissy K- Just missed in last, but has won 17 this year; 1 Candacraigh- Class of the field, will time off hurt or help? 9 He’s Fulla Chip- Always hangs around, but not a major threat.

Race 12: 1 Robin Dontget- May have found a home at Cvelbar Farms; 3 Laci-s Town- Has raced well-since coming here; 5 Slayer Of Dragons- Credible against far better in last local start.

Race 13: 1 Constantinoble- Deaton chose over 2 and 8, but form is suspect; 2 Party Boat- Longshot special gets Aaron; 5 Uphill Battle- Sick scratch a question, but could beat these form memories alone; 9 Pentium Chip- Moves up off moderate work.
