Friday picks and good news

Some of you may have seen these--if you buy a Northfield program on track starting with Friday's card, you get an insert with my picks. Due to our printing schedule, picks are now done in advance and may not account for in-to-go horses or late scratches and driver changes, so be sure watch the nightly televised picks of Dave Bianconi, Ayres Ratliff or me for updates!

Race 1: 6 Kosher Winner- Good first back and should be tighter; 3 Reel Me Over- Moves up and needs to step up; speed and Matt K help; 1 Corleone’s Dream- Needs hot fractions up top, but will be closer early.

Race 2: 7 Sayo Hanover- Moves up off an awesome local debut; 1 Secret Affair- Lukewarm choice, but rail will help; 2 Dee Town- Fits well here.

Race 3: 9 Rhiannon O Rhye- Trip won’t be quite as good, but will be good enough; 6 Sharon’s Future- No doubt where she will be for most of the race; 7 Gram Of Gold- ED chose over the 4 and 5. Does he know something the ML doesn’t?

Race 4: 1 Redmeansgo- Stahl chose off, but he can’t beat this one; 6 Electric Highlight- Has done solid work, but top choice is sharper; 9 Action Big Towner- huge two back, awful in last; 5 Rascality- 3rd back is the angle and she has some back class.

Race 5: 2 Nude N Naughty- Matt K’s choice but she is 0 for ’09; 3 Lady Down The Hall- Seems to be improving each start; 7 Miss Matilda- Post a concern, but she has been consistent.

Race 6: 7 B B Balanced Babe- Mare thrives on work and she will win 3rd this month; 5 Acadia Sis- Inherits Kakaley and will be on the chooch; 9 Krissy K- Not from the 2nd tier.

Race 7: 3 Jo Jo’s Circus- Aaron’s choice over the 4 and 5; 5 Ballad Seelster- Class relief and freshened, debut was disappointing; 4- Ms Fun- Streaky sort is racing well and gets class relief; 2 Call Box- Has had success with Shetler in the past.

Race 8: 5 First Tier- Caught in fast miles in 1st two local attempts; 8 Anastasia Broadway- Not as effective from this far out, but super sharp; 1 Cg Rain Princess- Solid since the qually.

Race 9: 6 Lady Mcjate- Beat better in her last; Ms Maize N Blu- Races well for Kakaley and gets a decent draw; 5 Sara’s Lil Sis- Handy sort who makes good trips for herself.

Race 10: 4 Exotic Cardshark- Move up off a good return; 9 She’s All Country- Drops and can contend; 1 Jenna’s On Jodi- Another chance, excuse in last; 5 Attack On The Town- Bad cover last time, although the line doesn’t show it.

Race 11: 1 Prettylittleangel-Pitch the last and she is solid; 2 Livinintheleftlane- Best draw yet at this level for A-rod; 4 Silky Sailor- Beat the $5s just three back; now in for $3- a warning sign.

Race 12: 7 Tiger’s Big Girl- Qualifier was good, 1st start was even better, eligible at time of entry (ETE); 2 Tucson Lace- drops and draws well; 1 She’s Precious – Should be better in 2nd local try; rail helps.

Race 13: 3 Rosie’s Sweetie- ETE off a win, rolls over these; 1 Sheer Sahbra- Returning to form; 2 Jj’s Request- Rarely wins, but finds herself on the board; 6 C’mon Wild Wabbit- Was overmatched at $250per start; could surprise with these
