Wednesday picks and stuff

Well we had a bunch of winners, all chalky last night and a few longshots on the ticket who won, messing up our straight tris and exactas. I am a little bit confused tonight, as I have already handicapped Friday’s card (so we can get it to our print shop in time for my picks to be included in the Friday program), then I did my preliminary work on Saturday’s card, and only then did I start working on Wednesday. Track will likely be soupy and I will be in the palatial Dave Bianconi Studios tonight, as the rain is expected to continue all evening.

Race 1: 7 Coin Of The Realm- Longshot special, why not the others are all suspect and he raced well and fast in last; 3 Eagle Love- made an uncharted move around the final turn, but raced very green for the first 5/8 in debut; 2 Splish Flash- good work in Q.

Race 2: 6 Captain Korki- Gets class relief; 4 Deputy Gabriel- Is his own worst enemy, the change to Wes might help; 3 Vrahos Again- three good efforts before the break.

Race 3: 3 Candygram Sam- Drops off a win due to the Eligible at time of Entry angle; 1 Spirit Freeluck- Tough trip in last; first try against these; 4 Key To Life- the other class-dropper.

Race 4: 1 Elmo’s Blaze- Somebody has to win; 3 Eza Rich King- Was rolling in last before the I; 4 Royal Tattler- 5/2 ML on a horse that hasn’t won since Bush- George HW- was President, uhh, nope; 7 Noble Star King- Gets A-rod and has done some work.

Race 5: 5 Bacon Hill Bandit- Solid win dropping to face these in last—was winning the $8s two months ago; 1 Miller Please- Another good draw for Josh; 9 Sporty Moran- Has raced well against less and gets a change of scenery.

Race 6: 5 Mans Star- Has been better at this level without a tag; 6 Brooklets Kit Kat- Best post draw in two months; 1 Ben Unbelievable- Has been better with Lasix and draws well again; 4 Pentium Chip- Drops out of claimers.

Race 7: 2 Sam’s Delight- Huge effort in last-used hard twice; 1 Armbro Deck- Fills Fleur De Le’s stall for the hottest trainer on the grounds; 7 Townline Roll On- Post hurts, but this one is generally good against these; 4 I Can Scoot Too- Has about as much gate speed as I do, but can close against suspect speed (who will cut this one, anyhow?)

Race 8:1 Jack N Sam- Has upside and is racing well; 6 Three Good Fellows- Would like an uneventful trip just once; 4 Rose Run Freddie- Not as good for the trainer as for a-rod, but still must consider- has talent.

Race 9: 2 Powercord- Draws well and gets a soft group; 4 Engine Hanover- Yes, I said Engine Hanover; 7 Izamillionare- ETE off a 2md place effort; post an issue.

Race 10: 5 Painted Speed- Racing well on Lasix and should handle these; 6 Free For Life- Tough trip for $400 purchase in last…one more chance; 9 Yoo Hoo Bunny- Moves up off two wins in three; 4 G Rod- Best post draw in ages.

Race 11: 2 Make Me Porudchico- Won in his debut at this class; 5 Barratry- Always tries; 8 Frosty Two Four- Moves up and could be anything, but the 8 hole makes it tough.

Race 12: 2 Tough Bow Min- One of four they opened it up for; 6 Irish Shade- Kakaley’s choice over the 1 and 4; 5 Town Scoot- Opened it up for him too and I have a feeling here; 1 Nuke Kidin Town- Always races competitively and gets the rail.
Good Luck!
