Saturday Picks

I am feeling very rushed with these picks and I am sure I have missed a few things. Having to 'cap Saturday on Thursday is just plain strange-- I always spend an hour or so with the program proof, but tto finalize picks then ext day is wierd. So, make sure that you watch my TV picks tonight-- BTW, on the advice of a patron, we will be running them on our crawl within the next few days, as well. There may well be a few changes.

Have you checked out Northfield's Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/pages/Northfield-Park/55693652154?ref=ts) or the new official fan group, "Every 19 Minutes The Place Goes Crazy?" http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=64397669864&ref=ts Already some cool user content posted there-- a picture of Wall of Fame trotter Berlin Flyer, who is now retired.

Anyway, here you go with the picks, good luck.

Race 1: 7 Corleone’s Capo- A speed duel plays into his hands; 8 Dublin Dollars- Exceptionally sharp but draws the snowman; 1 Take The Profit- May sting Dublin just enough.

Race 2: 6 Fortune Ho- Racing well and finds a comparatively soft spot; 5 Luck And Free- I know Aaron chose off, but I don’t get that; 1 Kb’s On My Toes- Will have to be here, but last at Maywood was decent…maybe a half-mile horse.

Race 3: 1 Dunkster- World champ gets class relief and the rail; 5 Chippendale Dancer- Eye opener in the his last; 6 Lucca’s Revenge- Who will lead, Is it Lucca or is it Dancer? (A horrible Killers reference, I know)

Race 4: 2 Saucy Brown- Poised to win this one; 1 Lookslikejet- Pretty consistent, first time Shetler; 3 Fancy Schmansy- Back class but 0 for 08-09; 9 Kncokout Sahbra- Moves up but should get a decent trip; patience, JD, patience.

Race 5: 5 Striking Genius-Returned to form in his last; 4 Wyatt- Took pressure, proven at this level; 7 Ira K- fits, but needs to work out a trip from out here.

Race 6: 7 Soul Redeemer- Gets Matt K and a price from this far out, go for value; 3 Knob Hill Splash- Finally did a little work in last, a lazy one; 9 Meritage Hanover- a pair of decent qualifiers and a mark of 51.2- may need start.

Race 7: 5 Lakeside Al N- stopped badly last time; one more chance against the softest he’s faced in forever; 2 Go Bogart- Moves up off a win, draws well again; 6 Rick’s On Belief-Big trip in last and a consistent one; 8 Delivered Rules- Will roll late for a little piece here.

Race 8: 1 Artistic Dreamer- Gets the draw he needs in more ways than one; 7- Bj’s Tune- Will be tested early by the top choice; 3 Buzz Hershey- Can close if top two picks get stupid.

Race 9: 1 Armbro Approach- Has not raced this cheap since he was a green horse; 2 Bustamante- Back to the level of his last win; 6 Kami’s Call- Trip killed him last time, Josh, can you say 2nd over?

Race 10: 1 Zakman- Robin To Matt K puts him on top of this Super; 3 Utica Hanover- Sitting on a big effort? 2 White River Eagle- may need a start; 6 Romance’s Thunder- Good debut at this spot in last, should improve.

Race 11: 3 Whatanartist- Tough trip in 3rd back off a three-year layoff; will be better tonight; 4 Pronger- Jug heat winner was impressive in November; discount last week; 8 Lite Me Up- Exceptional, but assigned outside. Not sure he can overcome against this tough group.

Race 12: 9 Up Front Guy- Will repeat with Kakaley; 1 Dontgetintheway- Showed impressive versatility in last start; 2 Forever Nugget- consistent sort.

Race 13: 2 Liftoff Bayama- Massive class drop gets this one home; 1Red Heads Star- Will need to leave a bit better; 9 K C Rudy Dude- Aaron chose this 12-1 ML over the 4-1 Beach Partner; 7 Rich Man Poor Man- Always gets a check; well almost always.
