Saturday Sires Stakes

Hare Craft is featured in the opener. One of the fastest Ohio-breds ever, can he rebound from his break in the Confederation Cup? I am not sure. Remember - no Monday picks, Wednesday hopefully on Tuesday. Good luck.

Race 1: 4 Hare Craft- Hard not to pick a sub-50 Ohio-bred, but the Confed Cup break is a red flag; 3 Magical New Day- Just a hunch he’ll be better now with Lasix; 2 Lee A Bryant- Some huge county fair miles, will they translate?

Race 2: 3 Power Stroke Chip- Raced well for Noble when carrying a tag, a maybe pick; 4 North’s Chester- Won’t get as good a trip here as he has been; 5 I Don’t Know- Always does work and this is a positive driver change.

Race 3: 3 I D K- I don’t know how good he is, but he’s well connected and can upset, lol; 4 Dancin Yankee- Comes off a huge mile, omg, and is the logical favorite; 1 Finn Man- Rail helps him, not a threat to win, imo.

Race 4: 9 Bella Bionda- Gets class relief and Noble, a solid combo angle; 1 Co Line Hard Drive- Shows some closes and is a NW1L8; 4 Swift Samantha- First time Stahl and usually shows some work; 5 Towners Great Lady- Another NW1L8 who has back class and seems to be improving.

Race 5: 6 Dragon Smoke- Gets class relief off a win; 3 Gold Fever- Beat similar last time and now gets a better post and third back angle; 2 Sunburned Vern- Very professional and Charlino may pick him up.

Race 6: 2 Zeller’s Island- Has been improving and now gets Aaron, solid choice; 4 Gallows Pole- Raced well in last and gets Stahl again; 7 Saint henry- Class dropper gets Noble and may overcome the post draw.

Race 7: 2 Category Six- Draws better in what could be a two-horse race; 3 Great Balldini- Was just as impressive in his last; 1 Aliquippa- Third back and will be on the chooch from the rail; 9 Jenna’s Dream- Gets a trip by following a Pittsburgh suburb.

Race 8: 1 Sharp Action- In perfect position to get whatever trip Ryan wants for him; 6 Too Good To Pass- Always does work & Noble has previous success with him; 2 Hogue’s Rockie- Moves up, but moves to Ehrhardt barn.

Race 9: 4 Sky Strikes- Racing well, but does not show a win at this level; 3 Currently Flying- Always hangs around and merits serious consideration; 5 Blue Time Overdue- Give him a look at this level.

Race 10: 4 J J Hall- Mogan and Chip get a slight call in a very well-matched group; 3 Sack Full Of Gold- Showed he could contend with these two back, Charlino a plus; 5 Rose Run Mac- Razor Sharp after a slow start this year; 2 One Starry Night- May be a stretch, but should be brave off his current form.

Race 11: 1 Moreland Flash- I don’t think this group will go sub-52, a winner from the rail; 3 Fueled N Waiting- Racing style sets up well for this group; 9 Imperious- Should trip out behind The Flash.

Race 12: 3 Rapid City- I have always liked this horse, maybe Noble gets me out; 6 Dm Fatboy Slim- Moves up, but is in a positive form cycle; 1 Blue My Mind- Much better when he draws inside and he gets the rail.

Race 13: 5 Brass Cap- Shows good lines and faces slightly lesser; 3 Lrs Mamas Boy- Just missed in his last two. Will third time be the charm? 4 Frenchies Pride- Aaron may pick this one up after a flat effort in last; 1 Ray’s Rayzer- Form is not sharp (sorry) but must consider on the ticket from the rail.
