Northfield Saturday

Here is a guarantee. In race one, a $17,900 Ohio Sires Stake, the winner WILL be a son of Feelin Friskie. Good Luck.

Race 1: 5 Feelin Perfect- For some reason this whole race has me Feelin Friskie; 1 Four Aces Osborne- Steps up, but is very sharp right now; 3 American Friskie- Benefits from the short field.

Race 2: 1 Its Jesse Time- I like the change to Sugg, but he needs to mind his manners; 6 Carolina Carl- Had been very good prior to the one break; 5 Jailbird Jesse- Wins at Lake County if he stays flat, a major player.

Race 3: 3 Bingo Queen- Two-year-old mis-stepped last time, but has license to improve; 1 Norths Chester- Always contends and should get the trip he needs; 4 Tory- Very consistent and does show a good line w/these four back.

Race 4: 3 Co Line Hard Drive- NW1L8 has missed by less than a length in three of last four; 2 Bullys Joni- No chance from the snowman last time, but she fits from inside; 4 Hillcrest Crystal- Tired after battling for the early lead, another chance; 7 Back Home Again- Not wild about her from out here, but she does get class relief.

Race 5: 6 Gun Show- Ready. Aim. Winner; 5 Noble Trick- I like this one to add value with Charlino; 1 Mineral Man- I love this one’s name and his recent form, but this is a big move up.

Race 6: 5 Rose Run Nash- The Nash rambler makes it four in a row in O-hi-o; 6 Rock N Jessie- Contends with a flat mile; 2 Cody Coy- Very consistent and may go forward with Charlino driving.

Race 7: 4 Sky Strikes- Should be the best value in a race where any of the four I list can win; 5 Southview Don- Noble chose off, but that may be loyalty, should be good w/Paver; 1 Vince The Man- Solid player from the rail despite poor current form; 6 Mm’s Shocking Guy- Usually does some work, but I don’t quite buy the ML on him.

Race 8: 7 Mypanmar- Bad draw, but 1:51.4 tells you all you need to know; 8 Moira’s Bliss- Mare is as game as they come, but she faces a monster; 1 Imperious- Could add value from the rail.

Race 9: 9 Master Wheels- Appears worthy of a slight call in average group; 3 Hogue’s Rockie- Got caught grinding in a monster mile, actually a decent effort; 8 Deep Chip- Dark horse figures but might be in deep chip from post eight.

Race 10: 2 Doc’s Poker King- Two straight starts from the snowman, but still closed credibly; 4 Amos Moses- Noble’s choice over #1 is inconsistent; 5 Cruisin Waverly- Has improved with Blevins driving; 1 Intrepid Orion- Needed the Painesville start and should never have been 1-2 off a sick scratch.

Race 11: 4 Big Bad Tj- Back racing at his best level and may surprise; 1 Doctor Gates- Speedster should love the rail draw; 2 Jenna’s Dream- These breaks leaving the switch worry me, but he contends if he paces.

Race 12: 7 Fox Valley Flyby- Back racing at his best level and may overcome the outside; 4 Stand Tall Mcgraw- Moves up off a game win; 9 Currently Flying- Starting to go forward for his new connections.

Race 13: 8 Crown Heights- Speedster may not overcome the eight-hole, but is worth a chance as an ETE; 7 Shackleton Hanover- The other ETE may be less affected by the draw; 9 Westedge Matt- Always gives effort and must be considered he could trip out; 4 Gallows Pole- Moves up off a couple decent efforts.
