Just another Manic Monday

A tough, tough card, but a playable Pick 4!

The $10K Guaranteed Pick 4 on races 8-11 features 14% takeout

The play: 2/127/13469/123= $45

Analysis: Race 8- 2)Taxed has been awesome in this class and can win by as many as he wants.
Race 9-2)Supreme Ruler is my top choice and 7)VP Hot Rod is the only other who has a chance on paper, but the 1) Sleek Fish worries me. He's been awful lately, but...
Race 10: Wide open and my actual play (if I have the guts to cut Sleek Fish) could be 2/27/all/123=$54
Race 11:2) Upfrontoutthedoor and 3)Camdestin appear best, but they opened up the race for 1)Move It Forward who could contend with a flat mile

Here is the entire card. Good luck!

Race 1: 5 Sam’s Profile- Seems to be on n upward form swing; 3 Little Lee- Likely favorite after a good 2nd place effort, 1st time Lasix; 6 Christmas Knight- Has picked up checks in four of last five starts.

Race 2: 7 Thomas Be Quick- Amy’s been driving this one, maybe they should sell him to Tom Swift; 3 Redzilla- Has really fallen on hard times, but has some ability; 8 Super Rapper- Always does work, but is hurt by the snowman.

Race 3: 1 Red Heads Star- Noble and the rail should put Perrin in the winners circle; 5 Laag The Mile- Tends to hang around and figures this cheap; 8 Scootin Jetta- Fresh horse and good qualifier, but horrible post.

Race 4: 2 Wild Nordic- Probably should have won last week. Another chance, but we won’t get 7-1; 3 Spit Happens- Massive class relief after two tries with amateurs; 4 Mr Fenton- Closed well last time, but was a beaten favorite; 1 Stock Boy Freddie- Very consistent at the bottom of tickets.

Race 5: 3 Sammy Merlot- Won’t get “Sideways” with Aaron driving; 5 He Cantab You- Has a chance with his best raceway post in over a month; 7 Mutual Funs- The old guy needs to do more than he has shown lately.

Race 6: 3 Doowrah’s Trifold- With the class drop may enrich Harwood’s Billfold; 1 Iloolikemygranny- Fresh horse, barn change, why not; 4 Goodnite Wilbur- Technically is dropping below the level of his last win, six back.

Race 7: 2 Magnaflo- Still green, but improving with Lasix; 4 Oh Justice- Has shown flashes of ability, but is still trying to figure it all out; 3 Next Chip- Stays close, but needs to show me more work; 9 Empire Earth- From the second tier, will the Empire strike back?

Race 8: 2 Taxed- Wins his way out of the class tonight to the relief of many, including bettors; 5 Star Dazzler- Consistently second best to Virgil-trainees; 4 Scooter In Motion- Does work, doesn’t sustain it. Needs to do more.

Race 9: 2 Supreme Ruler- Charlino’s choice over the #4 looked good last week; 7 Vp Hot Rod- Doing good work,. But tiring late, probably still cuts it; 3 Nuclear Sam- Fresh horse angle despite just 1 on-the-board finish in 2010-11.

Race 10: 6 Tieler Bea Hotspur- Let’s see if the barn change makes a difference; 4 Bodandy Andy- Or if this one does; 3 Polo Joe- Disappointed in last, another chance; Rabbitman- Looks to be four-in-a-rown fourth and they opened up the race for him.

Race 11: 2 Upfrontoutthedoor- From the two-hole, he should be Upfrontdowntheroad; 1 Move It Forward- Good advice for Swartz the way this one leaves, or doesn’t; 3 Camdestin- Got a good local win and may be getting braver.

Race 12: 3 Rose Run Freddie- Must get the call, but will he mind his manners? 4 Trytopass Sam- Had no excuse last time; 5 Whatsupwiththat- Wildly inconsistent, but he could be another J’s Whiskers.

Race 13: 4 Hoosier Lion- Probably should have won the last one, but Noble will know him better now; 9 Cunning Design- Consistently on the board and has no excuse this low in class; 7 Zeller’s Island- Gets a barn change and Aaron Merriman; 3 Noble Thought- For some unexplainable reason, I keep coming back to him.
