Saturdays are back!!

A pretty good card for the return of Saturday racing. We have been finding some decent priced horses but not using them properly, and when we hit favorites, we seem to be missing the tris and exactas. I need to heat it back up and maybe with Saturdays back, I will.

BTW- Northfield's Strategic Wagering for July will be the same as it has been- Monday and Wednesday Pick Fours, $10K Guarantee with a 14% takeout.

Here are the picks. Good luck.

Race 1: 1 Rose Run Margarita- Lukewarm call in a race where anything might happen; 9 Little Treasures- Has done moderate work now and then and can save ground; 2 Natural Sevens- Improving with every start, but enough?

Race 2: 7 Little Lee- Gets Aaron and may provide some value if he can overcome the outside; 5 Grandpa’s Jojobeni- Did no work following a fats mile; 1 Macao- Shows some competitive lines locally.

Race 3: 4 Sweetie Sue Cam- Gets class relief and may pull the upset; 5 Fantastic Fran- Third back and gets Charlino, may return to form; 3 Matt-scoot-n-bunny- Hoping Triple G wakes this one up.

Race 4: 4 Heza Firecracker- NW1L8 has been improving and maybe ready for a win; 1 Blue Time Overdue-He certainly is and Wyatt chose over #2 & #5; 5 Lima Jag- Grinder fits here, but Wyatt chose off; 6 Standin On A Beach- Improved post may help him here.

Race 5: 2 Colossal Cruiser- Dominating win in last and gets the ETE tag; 1 Southview Don- The other NW1L8 has tactical speed & gets Charlino; 6 Key Western- Veteran can easily hang with these & do more than hang w/his best.

Race 6: 6 Rose Run Mac- Exceptionally sharp, other than the one break; 5 Spit Happens- Needed the last start off a sick scratch; 1 Angelo Kosmos- Tactical speed and the rail, but Aaron chose off, dropping him a bit on this ticket.

Race 7: 1 Rapid Pursuit- Class relief and the rail may get him his 2nd win of the year; 3 Ben’s Big Bird- tends t compete from good draws and he gets one here; 7 Museum Piece- Usually contends, but he is 0-18 this year; 5 Tieler Bea Hotspur- NW1L8 gets Grismore and has been victimized by some tough trips lately.

Race 8:3 Zipsnapndrop- Nearly beat these in last, how will he react to fresh hands? 9 Kb’s On My Toes- Class dropper gets Aaron, Dan C. chose off; 8 Fox Valley Flyby- May be best of these, but I don’t see a win from post 8,

Race 9: 3 Go Cowboy Go- Moves up in exceptional form, close to getting the Giss of Death as a best bet; 1 Panskrit- Also racing very well right now; 2 Stand N Shout- And so is he, which is why the #3 is not a best bet.

Race 10: 1 Caramel Dimpling- Should be close enough early to kick it in late; 9 Jenna’s Dream- Has been very consistent but may not get a great trip; 2 Eagle Jacob- Can be solid if dumpling provides cover; 7 Delivered Rules- The valid speed in the race must be considered.

Race 11: 2 Worries Stay Small- Has had success with Aaron before and woke up a little in last; 3 Sharp Shuttle- Has been inconsistent, but gets fresh hands; 8 Class Worker- Looking for value and Charlino will get him in the flow.

Race 12: 2 Mattonthechooch- Has done everything but win since the layoff; 9 Bodandy Andy- Not sure the 2nd tier is a great place for him; 3 Race Track Cruiser- Should get a decent trip and he can hang with these..

Race 13: 2 Wardog Hall- Snowman cost him all chance in his local debut, NW1L8 is solid in here; 9 Doowrah’s Deal- The other NW1L8 could trip out here; 4 Cousin Mikey- With the pedal to the metal, the Swartz may be with him; 1 At Daybreak- First time Charlino, the rail and class relief. Hmmm, why do I only have him fourth here?
