Every once in awhile you see a card where angles appear to be popping out at you and you just really feel you can jump all over it. This is one of those cards. So naturally, I have a conflicting engagement (Our Temple's Reverse Raffle) where I have no realistic chance of making any money or to access Northfield's races on-line. Good luck!
Race 1: 1 Ge’s Antonio- NW1L8 drops down, had advantage and gets the rail; 9 Pacificam- Should get a good trip behind the pick for Gris; 3 Christmas Photo K- Way too inconsistent for my tastes.
Race 2: 4 Jenna’s Dream- Ultra sharp & barn change shouldn’t affect her; 3 Osborne’s Yankee- Good Q, maybe he will rebound from inconsistent ’10; 1 Artsbred Camotion- Needed the last, should improve.
Race 3: 1 Doowrah’s Silver- Gets a slight call in an even field, rail & eligible-at-time-of-entry; 5 Depravedhedonist- Another chance after a flat effort, usually reliable; 4 Perfect Door- Drops below level of his last win, but animal is impossible to figure week in, week out.
Race 4: 1 Gordie How- He beat ‘em last week and gets an even better draw; 2 Scoozi- Really looks like a replay of last week; 3 Category Six- What will Charlino do with this one? Risky; 4 Caramel Dumpling- Has been unable to get it in gear against these, but it may set up well for him;
Race 5: 5 Cunning Design- May be sitting on a big effort, but far from Otto-matic; 1 Stand N Shout- No chance in last from the snowman; 2 The Libberteriann- Not his best class, but draws best in months.
Race 6: 2 Ar Ed- Needed the local start and should be good despite that parked-trip; 1 Oh Gee Whiz- Has been good since shipping in from New York; 6 Vince The Man- Fresh hands, good form, poor post.
Race 7: 6 Motorcycle Mike- I was thrilled with $5.60 last week and will try again; 5 Dakotas Bridgeman- Seems odd to say #5 gets his best post of the year; 3 Zipsnapndrop- Nominally, class drop off a win, but not really; 1 Nuclear Cam- Inconsistent, but may be better from the rail for GGG.
Race 8: 9 Son Of A Spur- I voted him 2nd for Ohio Horse-of-the-Month, last start an eye-opener; 6 Big Star Chuck- Lightly raced so far in ’11, a chance; 3 Master Wheels- Seems to fit well, must use in tri.
Race 9: 1 Rounding Third- Tends to make a wide turn; 2 Gramma’s Guy- As solid as they come; 5 Cruise On Osborne- Decent qualifier, but may need a start.
Race 10: 2 Picasso’s Dream- Paints a winning picture tonight; 5 Tactical Dreamer N- The comment says it all;, can he duplicate that effort? 9 Pan Au Chocolat- Has been sweet for Hooser and the Suggs; 3 Genesis See Yah- Becomes a real factor with the good post.
Race 11: 2 Zakman- Above his best level, but may trip out here; 3 Medoland Tess- Even with Aaron choosing off, #1’s form is off; 5 Forever Friendly- A little better draw may help a little.
Race 12: 2 Three Five Seven- My Black Eyed Peas Horse of the Night- “I’ve got a feelin…” 3 Scootin Higher- “…that tonight’s gonna be a good night.” 1 Capuccino Blaze- “Drink it up, Mazel Tov.”
Race 13: 2 S F Stampede- Needs the front, but should get it from here; 4 Empire State- took pressure and tired last time, we get a 3rd back angle here; 3 Buzz Hershey- Just not a fan, but was solid last time; 5 Jack Maverick- Aaron surprised me picking him over the #6, so I will go with him.
