Monday March Madness

I may be watching this card from Southland Greyhound Park in West Memphis, Arkansas. Not sure yet. if so, it will definitely be a fried bologna sandwich for dinner- their concession lady used to work at "that Roosevelt Raceway," and she makes fried bologna like nine I have ever tasted. I will need a side of Lipitor, but don't want to miss it. Good luck!

Race 1: 4 Osbornes Potential- Seems to be the most consistent of these; 7 Beasty Royal- Good qualifier and had high expectations; 5 Royal Cam Osborne- Has shown a few moderate closing efforts.
Race 2: 1 Gold Fever- Racing well and outdraws the other main players; 7 Phagus Hall- Super sharp and has raced well from outside; 5 Bodandy Andy- Fits very well here, or with the $3000s.
Race 3: 2 Come Along Fred- NW1L8 shows solid recent work and may be a value; 3 Actions By Chip- Haven’t seen a lot of the Kramp/Charlino combo lately; 5 Lima Lucky- Has bounced back from time off.

Race 4: 6 Varitek- Gets a very soft group, but still needs to sustain his work; 2 Winter’s Finali- Let’s hope so, Rach; 5 Israeli Hall- Shows several recent on-the-board finishes; 1 Roman Knows Best- has been fourth from the rail in his last two.

Race 5: 1 Stock Boy Freddie- NW1L8 is a major threat from the rail; 7 Nordic Gentleman- May be in for another tough trip, but always does work; 6 He’s Fulla Chip- Not many others to consider here.

Race 6: 4 Goodnite Wilbur- Only 2011 winner gets Noble in a field that is batting .024 in 2010-11; 2 Happy Cam- Fresh horse angle and a good post; 9 Leach- has had his best results with Aaron driving.

Race 7: 4 Panpoint Accuracy- Was a bit more impressive than the other winners in last, good back half; 9 Ata Ata- He has stopped winning, but he usually does work; 1 Western Empire- A factor from the rail; 3 French Attack- Showed more than he had been last time.

Race 8: 4 Anastasia Wildfire- Doesn’t always fire, but still green and impressed in last; 1 Contech- Always very solid at this level & rail helps; 3 Abba Zabra- Always hangs around, but needs to do more.

Race 9: 2 Beans And Weenies- Closed well in last start after an unplanned freshening; 4 Vp Hot Rod- Needs to sustain his work, but he is a player; 5 Christmas Photo K- Contends with his best.

Race 10: 4 Soul Redeemer- Not what he once was, but still pretty honest; 2 Three Five Seven- Has had some tough trips and posts, maybe better tonight? 7 Hoosier Lion- First time Dan Noble makes him a factor; 9 Bell’s Courier- I’ve always liked this line, but this one was awful before last week.

Race 11: 4 Thomas Be Quick- Like many John G-trainees, went forward with Noble; 7 Conway Maid- Seems to always contend, but rarely wins; 2 R U A Looker- Figures, but must see one start with straps.

Race 12: 3 Askpedia- Showed a good turn of foot in last start, right? 1 Winsmith Delight- Could easily win this even though she appears a step or two slower; 5 Indy Red- Back at his best level.

Race 13: 2 Rabbitman- Showed improvement last time, can he show a bit more? 1 Inquisitive Me- Don’t ask, don’t tell; 3 Ideal Ticket- Gets a better draw which may help him; 5 That’s Textbook- On the boartd two straight since being reunited with Charlino.
