When I first looked at this card, I though chalk, chalk, chalk. The more I looked at it, I said, value, value, value. Reality? Probably somewhere in between. I am on the air and weather and staffing permitting, in the winners circle. What do you think? Favorites or longshots? Good Luck!
Race 1: 3 Sammy’s Bunny- Has been competitive in this class, gets Wyatt; 9 Sleepy Time Winner- Has been roughed up, but tries; 5 R R Lucky Breeze- Which one shows up? Two starts back (very good) or last start (not so much)?
Race 2: 1 Rose Run Leroy- Should get err done for Stahl from the rail; 6 Shaika Gabe- The main competitor gets worst draw in months; 9 Coriander Please- Could add spice to the trifecta.
Race 3: 1 Legacy Chip- Has been exceptional lately, best bet; 4 Rainbow Review- May need a start coming from fairs & E.D. should pick the classy old guy up; 6 High Gear Speed- Improving.
Race 4: 3 Standin On A Beach- Trip didn’t work out last time, another chance with Aaron; 2 Northville Albert- A factor with the inside draw; 9 Doowrah’s Trifold- Appeared to have pace but no room in last; 4 Shouldabeendead Ed- Has shown little, but can wrap the super.
Race 5: 4 Free For Life- Always gives effort and Hamilton calls on Stahl, a tell; 9 Hershel Kiss- Picks up a few horses late, will he be close enough? 2 Jakey Boy- Better at this level, consider.
Race 6: 4 P C’s Exotica- Stahl/Melloy combo sharp, same class as win; 1 Youaretheonlyone- Has speed, the rail and A-rod; 3 Physical Beauty- Consistent, a bit unlucky in last. Maybe.
Race 7: 4 Gyraider- Better w/Lasix and Wyers chose over 7-2 #1, value; 1 No Escape N- No chance from snowman in last two, raced well 3 back; 2 C J Blaze- Big effort for Stahl last time; 6 Tough Bow Min- Wyatt’s choice (over #5) is inconsistent, but can contend.
Race 8: 2 Lucca’s Revenge- Should stay pretty solid at this level; 3 Final Scorpion- Jamie calls on a catch driver, could upset; 7 Willie N Blaze- Faces softer, bad post, must trot behind gate.
Race 9: 1 Inquisitive Me- A Putney training double? Could happen with this draw; 5 Canaco Kubota- “Barn change,” might help; 3 Sultan Desbi- Just a hunch, Dan is heating up of late.
Race 10: 7 Four Hoof Drive- Appears easily the best off his Mea Qually; 3 Three Sox Missing- 11 of 26 on board this year, 5 of last 6, positive form cycle; 6 Fueled N Waiting- Does work and gets Stahl; 4 Nukes Fortunateson- Racing well right now, can find his way onto this ticket.
Race 11: 1 Jackson One- Solid, may be better with Lasix, rail ain’t gonna hurt; 2 Leroy Mot- Sugg chose off, but raced big against better in last; 3 Sabastin Seacrest- Once more with E.D.
Race 12: 9 Jack Maverick- Rapidly improving, gets my call even with Elliott choosing off; 4 Janice’s Scarlett- Aaron helps her. Lots; 3 Western Draw- Must sustain a bit better, a factor.
Race 13: 7 Gramm’s Guy- What’s not to like? Other than the post? 5 Samcin- Class relief off some tough trips; 1 Winbak Len- Hangs around and must be used form the rail; 6 Robin Dontget- Robin doesget, as Kurt chooses off. 4th or better in his last five.
