NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS

This is always an interesting evening. So many of these youngsters have been racing so long and accumulated points early, that they are tired now. Meanwhile, some late bloomers always surprise. I think there are several vulnerable faves. Hoping for decent weather and a winners circle camera- We can talk mor eon the apron.

Good luck!

Race 1: 2 Tory- Kicking off Night of Champions with boxcars, I think Minnie Spur breaks; 3 Rose Run Melanie- Steps up, but is consistent; 7 Scarlet Spurs- Could be anything and won it at RP.

Race 2: 4 Integrity- No irony that he’s trained and driven by Chip Noble; 3 Belikan Da Pelican- Has leveled of late, but gets Aaron. Tired? 2 Lima Thunder- Has faced better with success.

Race 3: 1 Golden Fizz- Another shot after the worst trip imaginable at the worst time imaginable; 6 Shez Good Osborne- Home field advantage; 4 Tuesday- Just very consistent & on the ticket.

Race 4: 9 Our Little Filly- Should get a perfect trip if Flash doesn’t Burns out; 1 Emerald Flash- Should get the easy lead; 3 Brownsugarsandwich- Rounding back into good form; 7 Dawn Of New Money- 5 of last 6 on board after starting 3 of 7.

Race 5: 3 Dunkster- Moves up, but if he gets the top he looks the best on memories alone; 2 Over Spurred- Has beaten these and should perform for McKirgan; 6 Udontwantnunofthis- Charlino’s choice over #9, who I liked a bit.

Race 6: 2 Medoalnd Tess- Badly named gelding raced huge for Aaron last time; 6 Stablecreekcruiser- Those are big miles on Telegraph Rd; 5 Sailors Sky- Needed last start.

Race 7: 7 Classical Man- Has dominated in previous local efforts; 9 Master Wheels- May get a perfect trip; 1 That Fly’n Angel- Fits well from rail, especially with Charlino in the bike; 8 Muscle Sprouts- Legit contender is punished with the snowman, can younger Noble overcome it?

Race 8: 4 Stringtowner- As cheap as he’s raced in ages, E.D., chose over #1; 1 Kinnick- Has maintained his form since the claim and rail is big; 2 Doowrah’s Deal- Needs fast splits up top.

Race 9: 8 Buckeye Man- Riskypick from out here, but check out his OSS Final; 3 J Semper Fi- Has finally figured it out; 7 Ohio Frontier- Second time Lasix and I’m looking for some value.

Race 10: 1 Northmedo Cruiser- Absolutely crushed them in last and not sure these are tougher; 4 At Daybreak- Needs to show me more work; 6 Ej’s Pocket Rocket- Very consistent, but appears a step slower than the top 2; 3 Show Me Glory- Cost me money Jug Day & may again.

Race 11: 5 Future Night Train- All aboard. Best Bet. A gift at Delaware, an underlay here; 4 Sack Full Of Gold- Won’t add value with Charlino; 3 Corwn Time Mcjess- Can contend.

Race 12: 1 Victory Is Coming- Can she be beat? 8 Sunny Victory- Hoping they ignore this one and the exacta pays $7-8; 2 Chiptoria Secret- She’s a nice one, but I can’t give you a $4 exacta.

Race 13: 3 Cruzin Bayou- No chance in last, assigned outside, hoping for a price; 5 Caramel Dumpling- Loves this track & will be flying late; 8 Painted Speed- Best horse, worst post. Again.

Race 14: 9 Legacy’s Best- Solid if he responds well to the 2nd tier; 1 Expensive Western- Did he wake up with those fair wins? 5 Mr Shady- Point him to the front and try to hang on; 2 Artistic Dreamer- Competitive post draw and Aaron should mean improvement.
