Friday filly and mare follies

Last week in the winners circle, I asked Dan Charlino to go through his Ipod and pcik a second song. It's not that I don't like "Daniel" by Elton John. Heck, I am a fan of Sir Elton. But the subject of the song is not appropriate, nor is the pace (tempo?) for a winners circle celebration. Maybe something by Steely Dan? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsrI_mIT6PQ&feature=PlayList&p=056838D9CE479A6A&playnext=1&index=13

Good luck!

Race 1: 4 Peggy Spur- May not get the greatest trip with Greenie at the rail, but still earns the call; 2 Date Worthy- Will pass late and may go by them all; 1 Krissy K- I’ve said for weeks she needs to go to the front and improve her position from there.

Race 2: 2 Ballad Seelster- Stuck behind excess dead cover as she finally earns a check; 1 Lonely Me- Third back angle and the rail; 3 Sophia- Third back angle and improved post draw.

Race 3: 5 Wild Nordic- Gets the eligible at time of entry spot and should beat these; 9 Oceana Hanover- Gets class relief & Charlino in her return “home,” since Canfield isn’t racing right now; 7 That Fly’n Angel- 2:00.1 at Oak Harbor is significant. Good current form, bad current post.

Race 4: 6 Holdzmfronfloppin- Has been racing against far better; 1 April Fool Days- Current form is good and she gets the rail; 5 Guy’s Gal- Well connected and fits well here; 4 Native Flower- Let’s try to Tye one on.

Race 5: 1 Screamin Believer- Owner-trainer to Charlino, mmm; 3 Marantha Hanover- Change of scenery has done him well; 4 Bell Valley Diva- Third back and in at the proper level tonight.

Race 6: 4 Ms Pattack- Class drop & Charlino may be the ticket here; 2 Towner’s Great Lady- Not a fan, but drops to level of last win; 1 Naught Maude- Showed some speed in last & gets rail.

Race 7: 5 Silver Dollar Star- You’ll never guess what angle I am looking at here; 2 Dappers Flash- Gate speed and racing well; 1 Broadway Petera- Inconsistent, but fits with her best; 4 Sara’s Lil Sis- Deaton makes her the wild card.

Race 8: 2 Silvers Luck- Barn changes, or not, she wins. And wins. And wins; 1 I Am Samsational- First time Ehrhardt, plus E.D.; 3 Ferris Wheel- Nearly lasted in local debut.

Race 9: 8 Hillcrest Crystal- Sharp enough she may overcome the snowman; 4 Jan Jet- Daniel is travelin’ tonight on a plane; 1 Ursula K- Races better when used leaving, why not from rail?

Race 10: 7 Shell I Attack- Outclasses these (Elliott inherits the drive); 3 Shelbys Muneymaker- 2-5 against the boys last time off a sick scratch? Thanks for the gift on Road Storm (will be better tonight); 5 Sister Kae- Inconsistent, but has beat these; 8 Yankee Oak- Snowman hurts her.

Race 11: 3 Scent Of Magic- Beat these the last time Charlino drove; 4 Doowrah Silver- Mild bid? Watch the video. Huge mile; 1 Winning Yankee- Another chance after the break in last.

Race 12: 2 Get Ready To Rumba- Impressed in first start for Winstead/Cantrell, gets Daniel back; 1 Rinestone Coddie- Consistent and will be close early; 6 Swift Samantha- Wyatt chose off, but I choose to Deaton.

Race 13: 3 Cruizin At Dawn- Lukewarm call in a weak group for the class; 9 Electric Highlight- Took big pressure throughout last, better trip here? 4 Cn Loufly Loretta- Moves up off a big effort last time; 2 Quite A Shark- It is Shark Week, after all, and this one gets the 3rd back angle.
