Summit County Fair- Buckeye Super Sweepstakes

A two-horse event off the card, and how would you like to be Clair Umholtz in the second with a first starter? 5 horse field goes for $11,600 so he will earn at least $580. Is it still $00 to start? A great betting Billings race and remember, this is a county fair crad so QF drivers ARE permitted, as are horses that have been off for more than 45 days without a qualifier.
Have a great time-- I am in Middletown, OH this weekend. Go cash!
-Giss-

Race 1: 4 Herbedaone- Likes this racetrack and Smitty is way underrated; 2 Chiptoria Secret- Rapidly improving, but I like the other one’s racing style better; 5 Lima Darlin- Has upside with Charlino, but current form doesn’t warrant better than a third-place pick.

Race 2: 3 Count The Cost- Just a hunch, can’t put my finger on it; 5 Northmedo Wine Guy- The Rombauer will flow if Wine Guy wins; 2 Count On Ben- Likely over-bet, front end style lacks.

Race 3: 5 Flori’s Future- Still makes mistakes, but is awesome when she doesn’t; 2 Count N Caloris- Gets Grismore & may still add value; 3 I Look Dynamic- Fairs have been good to him.

Race 4: 4 Rinestone Coddie- Gets Gris and gets the call in the first of a trio of overnighters on this card; 5 Raider Time- Don’t think this group goes 56ish; 3 Jakcie’s Gem- Qualified well but got a rough trip at The Buff; 2 Classy Sarah- Gets Page and her best raw in ages.

Race 5: 10 Candacraigh- The class of this group if Bullet Bob can maneuver through traffic; 3 Double A- Tom Williams is a former Billings champ & this horse went a good mile 2 back, here; 7 Stormont Caviar- Very consistent & will be in the mix. Wish this was a super to throw Hatfield in.

Race 6: 7 Osborne’s Sweeper- New Ohio rule- foals of Myopia’s Mop get a five-length handicap. Is it the mare or the trainer? Either way, remarkable; 2 Cruise On Ashley- Raced well in the Sires last start and is supposed to be good; 3 Brownsugarsandwich- How good is she?

Race 7: 2 Tough Bow Min- Gets Stahl and has the best form of this group (not saying much); 3 Knockout Sahbra- Reunited with Deaton; 6 Nascart- Kept making left-hand turns for the win last time; 9 Race Track Cruiser- Sort of, kind of tends to hang around. Wraps the super.

Race 8: 2 Count On Your Credit- This is the rare case where the listed driver choosing OFF is the tell; 1 Minnie Spur- (and you get Sleek Jessie at no additional charge) 3 TT’s Honey Bun- How do you not pick McKirgan somewhere on a county fair card?

Race 9: 4 Yarrows Cruiser- Pretty darn good form on this one, no value, but… 1 Three New Dawns- Be aware of the post positions, but three-for-the-price-of-one and this one draws best; 3 Lima Jag- Needs to do more work when he draws competitively, like tonight.

Race 10: 2 Buckeye Man- 7-4-7 1 or 2 & now gets Gris. Yawn, but a winner; 7 Sharp Edge- Has faced decent conditioned horses & may be improving; 4 Victory Caller- The line at ScD 2 back is more impressive than it looks; 5 Call The Warden- Danny jumped off #3 when dad chose off.

Race 11: 3 Golden Fizz- Gets better every week and can upset; 2 Rub Thing- The one to beat here, but vulnerable; 4 Shez Good Osborne- No chance in last, other lines are decent.

Race 12: 6 Wolf Creek Ted- Undefeated in Ohio for a purse this year; 4 Too Good Too Pass- The English teachers can have a field day with this one, so will the bettors; 2 Go Jesse Go- Very consistent and must be considered at a price.

Race 13: 4 Canaco Kubota- Fresh hands & a class drop earn the win for team Melloy; 1 Colossal Cruiser- 3rd start back & the rail in a big dropdown; 5 Sultan Desbi- Would like to see Dan leave; 7 Hershel Kiss- Drops to the level of his last win, but appears slower than the others.
