Saturday's sizzling picks

I like this card. I really like this card. I think I see my best bet of the year (so far). Can you figure it out? If so, post a comment. May be a bit sunburned after 4 hours with the girls at the Adidas National Showcase Saturday afternoon (after a total of 8 with them Friday), but looking forwrad to seeing y'all on the apron. Godd luck. -Giss-

Race 1: 1 Fidelity Hanover- Wakes up off a trainer change from Noel Daley to Rob. Schlabach; 5 Upfront Cashstrike- Well-connected & well-prepped; 3 Sl Secret Lady- From a good trot barn.

Race 2: 6 Victory Is Coming- If there’s any doubt watch video of her back half on July 3; 5 Master Buckin Uhl- Beat these last week with a lifetime best; 3 Samsawinner- Good trip in last.

Race 3: 2 Robin Dontget- They opened up the class for this one and when you are struggling for a positive angle, you take what you can get; 5 Doowrah’s Deal- Robin “do-get” this one with class relied; 9 Sadie Falcon- They opened the cap for her, does she have the Wright stuff?

Race 4: 2 Buttercup Bob- Solid effort last time & he gets another trotting specialist?!? 6 E C K- First time Charlino angle; 1 Race Track Cruiser- Stalked to a win at the bottom & may get the same trip; 8 Elm Grove Gerson- Snowman hurts, but Elliott will be aggressive, which he needs.

Race 5: 4 Catherinethegreat- Charlino chose over the 7-5 ML pick and she is starting to race like her wonder horse Rex; 6 Master Wheels- Always does work and is overdue; 1 R Cowboy- Gets the rail and Deaton, but Charlino choosing off soured me a bit.

Race 6: 2 Aquestionoftime A- No driver choice here, but should be fine with certified Angus; 3 Hickory Hunter- Moves up, but had no shot in last from the snowman; 9 Vilas Blue Chip- Always hanging around, needs to do a bit more.

Race 7: 5 Western Outfitter- Schillaci/Charlino combo may remain undefeated at the end of this night; 3 Category Six- Should be better with the catch driver; 6 The Long Goodbye- Fits with these, needs a trip; 2 Slippery Phil- Moves way up but is super sharp and draws well.

Race 8: 7 Willie N Blaze- Faces better off a good effort & may be ML overlay (we hope); 2 Ruth Lane- Should like the half-mile oval, give-and-go time? 4 Alliance Hall- Contends with a flat mile.

Race 9: 7 Polo Joe- Post an issue, but he’s back where he belongs; 9 Knob Hill Splash- Huge improvement off barn change, 2nd tier a question; 6 Road Strom- Not as effective out here.

Race 10: 1 Rd Rustler- Stalking first time Charlino win was just 2 ticks shy of a lifetime best; 3 Mr Shady- I wonder if Robin will leave with him? 9 Nuclear Cam- If memory serves as had success with ED in the past; 4 Knockout Sahbra- Always hangs around in this class, must use.

Race 11: 6 Tarver Hanover- Charlino/Schillaci AND Dan chooses off the sharpest horse on the grounds to drive; 1 Camcoder- Needs to be well positioned early; 8 Bad Man Hall- Pretty slick qualifier for the Pompano boys, needs a start and draws awfully, but let’s take a flyer.

Race 12: 1 Travolta- Looks for three in a row in Ohio; 4 Ron Jeremy- Big improvement last time, sitting on a big mile? 2 Bus Fare- Tends to race well when he draws inside. He does. He should.

Race 13: 5 Bodandy Andy- Top contenders draw badly or have flat form; 2 Goatcoat 8 George Tm- has really leveled of late, has post been a part of it? 7 Saltea’s Sanjay- Best horse, post is a huge question mark; 8 Mainline Hall- Always gives effort & has had success from outside, but…
