Race 1: Mcmerry Again- Doesn’t look good on paper, but gets a sort-of 3rd back angle & Charlino; 7 Silver Dollar Star- Has been a victim of recent trips, contender if she trips out; 5 N L Solar Wind- Usually does some moderate work.
Race 2: 2 Tsm Queen B T- Gets a lukewarm call over her barn mate due to post; 6 Nora’s Dream T- Class relief despite decent recent form; 8 Wild Nordic- Snowman hurts this speedster.
Race 3: 8 Silver’s Luck- Aggressive trip from Deaton from the snowman gets her home on top; 3 Fantastic Fran- Has leveled, maybe Pretty Good Fran? 2 Sara’s Lil Sis- Races well when she draws well. She does. She should.
Race 4: 9 Back Home Again- Eligible at time of entry gives her a slight call; 1 Blueridge Empress- Should be good from rail with first-time Charlino; 3 B B Big Girl- Has a bit of a closing move; 6 All About Jenny- Moves up, but has been a little bit better with Lasix.
Race 5: 8 Hillcrest Crystal- Closed well in a fast mile last time, maybe? 2 Janica- Best draw in a long time, but 0-19 in ’10; 4 Vale Breeze- Gets class relief and looks like she needs it.
Race 6: 3 Screamin Believer- Only career win was here. Gets a class drop & ED; 1 Blueridge Magdalene- Just a three-year-old, may improve; 9 Mother Superior- 3rd back off sick scratch.
Race 7: 6 Nf Wind Chimes- Won despite the break and now gets an ETE while UP in class. Rare angle; 2 Urusla K- Moves up off a lifetime best; 5 Winning Yankee- Deaton may help her; 3 Raider Time- Which Raider Time shows up? The good, the bad or the ugly?
Race 8: 4 Dynastar- Sugg chose the youngster, but I think Deaton is exactly what the old girl needs; 6 Golden Fizz- Very nice filly will be favored. 1 Lisa Character- On the chooch here.
Race 9: 6 Ms Denali- If I had a spare $3,600… should cruise; 3 Date Worthy- Consistent on the board finisher; 5 Tally Ho Chip- Has shown signs of life at the lower levels.
Race 10: 8 Shelbys Muneymaker- I’m gonna keep picking her until she loses. And maybe longer. 5 C R Hope- Cost me a big exacta by a nose last time; 2 Drop Of Nutmeg- Very consistent right now, won’t win, but must use; 1 Emma Rose Ben- Finally a good post draw.
Race 11: 6 Envy- Has won 7 of 15 after winning 5 of her first 61. That is good form; 5 Dappers Flash- Contends if she minds her manners; 9 Sand Song- Well bred and can improve.
Race 12: 4 Jjs Request- Raced gamely to beat lesser last time; 3 Medoland Kendall- A bit of a troubled trip in last, consider; 1 April Fool Days- Will be forward early from the rail.
Race 13: 4 Whoville- They opened up the class for her (NW$700L5), she goes on top; 3 Rinestone Coddie- They opened up the class for her (NW$205PS) which is not as convoluted a change, she gets 2nd call; 1 French Worker- They opened up the earning cap for her, which is not as good as opening the class; 2 Blue Time Ice Lady- The other NW$700L4 wraps the ticket.
