Monday Musings

I am taking the holiday. See ya!

Race 1: 5 Sweeping Pockets- Was much better last time and Stahl chose him over the 3 and 4; 6 The Hef- Tough trip last time, previous form was decent; 3 Heart Of A Diamond- Four straight snowman streak is broken tonight.

Race 2: 6 Athlete In Action- Massive class drop in his 2nd start back; 2 He’s Fulla Chip- Solid form, but probably no threat to my choice; 9 Try To Relax- Will contend if he lives up to his name.

Race 3: 9 Steady Noire- Faced better in Rte 23 late-closing action; 2 At Daybreak- Umm, he’s consistent with 4 2nds in a row; 1 Trixie Osborne- Consider her from rail.

Race 4: 3 Elm Grove Gerson- Eight-hole cost him, return to form two back wins it; 1 Fox Valley Mavro- Could not convert the perfect trip in local debut; 4 Magic Dart- Gets class relief, but seems a step slower that the top two; 2 The Big Wazzoo- Always hanging around, wraps super.

Race 5: 4 Bit O Looks- Class relief and a change to the Trotting Master; 9 Reel Me Over- Never saw the pylons in return, better trip would help; 2 Muckmuck Woodchuck- Inauspicious start to his sophomore campaign.

Race 6: 3 Oaks Luck- Gets a claiming tag for the first time; 2 Jennys Spirit- Always there and beat these two back; 5 Dragon Fires K- Must show a bit more pop to beat these, but solid.

Race 7: 5 Salteas Sanjay- Stahl, class relief (sort of) and the best bet of the night; 9 Zipsnapdrop- Should be forward behind the #1 early; 8 Goatcoat George Tm- Could contend if not for the post draw; 1 Liltycantbedenied- Can get forward and save ground for a small piece.

Race 8: 1 Conductors Timeout- Class relief and reunited with Kurt Sugg, with who he has had his best success; 2 Scoremania- Drops to the level of a win six back for Dan the man; 4 Catch K D- Three-year-old gets Stahl and intrigues me despite finishing poorly.

Race 9: 1 Isa Devil- 2nd back, down in class & a better draw; 2 Canaco Kubota- May be sitting on a good effort; 5 Travolta- Charlino should get a better result than anyone but Vinny Barbarino.

Race 10: 3 Aquestionoftime A- Raced well against a pretty tough one in local debut; 4 Stand Tall Mcgraw- Gets class relief, but has shown little lately; 2 Pacificam- Class relief should help him; 5 Jumping The Shark- We’ve reached the pinnacle picking him, its all downhill from here.

Race 11: 2 Mite B’s Victory- Mite B as good as his mom…eventually; 5 Sam Has Class- Last local start was an eye-opener; 4 Victory Princess- Quality mare moves up, but can contend.

Race 12: 9 Hard Time Gone- First time Charlino angle puts him on top; 3 Tally Ho Don- Finally gets a decent post and that will help; 6 Western Eddie- Needed his last start, another chance.

Race 13: 2 Goin Home Ray- Inconsistent, but Stahl may get the best from him; 5 Oaks Enforcer- Starting to show his back class; 4 Race Track Cruiser- Usually does moderate work, use for 3rd and 4th; 3 Happy Hylight- Contends with his best, but will we get it?
