Monday Madness

A lot of vulnerable apparent favorites and if I am right, a profitable night. But, how will the public adjust to the lack of Aaron Merriman. The odds board becomes more important than ever now. Good luck.

Race 1: 7 Doowrah’s Trifold- Obviously needed the 1st start back. Fresh & in cheap; 5 Lashas Last- Tends to stop, but field is 2 of 111 so can contend; 1 Jakey Boy- On the ticket from rail.

Race 2: 1 He’s Fulla Chip- Has been doing good work and will be closer early from the rail; 6 Lucca’s Revenge- Starting to race like the $3k claimer he used to be; 5 Cat’s Run- Overdue.

Race 3: 4 Filly Power- Does Greeno ever lose here? 1 Flori’s Future- Needs to be better leaving; 3 The Count- The Full Counts seem to be coming on well and this is one of the best.

Race 4: 2 Picasso’s Dream- Was game in his first effort back from sickness; 4 French Worker- First time (recently, at least) with Charlino; 7 Green Acre Pill- Wyatt chose off, but he’s a factor with Ryan if he can deal with post 7; 9 Lima Ritch- Always does work, gets a catch driver.

Race 5: 1 Nico Mirabel- Best form and best draw in a soft group; 2 Zorgwijk Javelin- Should be better 2nd back and down in class; 5 Petrified Chip- Class relief and fresh hands may help him.

Race 6: 4 Coalford Admiral- Hard-luck British-bred looks to be best of these; 7 Oaks Enforcer- Tons of back class, but is a bit inconsistent these dats; 1 That’s Textbook- First time Charlino.

Race 7: 2 Go Cowboy Go- Super consistent and draws well; 7 Gifted Attack- Trip from Hades last time and maybe JD steps him up; 6 Ginnydoodledandy- Should be much better with Stahl driving; 4 Sheza Cruiser- Seems to be better with Lasix and Charlino sure doesn’t hurt.

Race 8: 9 Llc- Big time class drop, below level of last win; 1 Conductors Timeout- Speedster should like the rail; 2 Smok’n Coalburner- Usually does work and fits well with these.

Race 9: 5 Go-spread The Word- I’ve always liked this trotter who took a life mark last year at 11; 6 Striking Genius- Much better dropping to this level in last; 2 Mysterious Speed- 2004 Scarlet and Gray Champ. Can you say back class?

Race 10: 2 Artistic Tribute- Solid winner last time may continue to go forward; 6 Jennys Spirit- Very solid and won from this post last time; 4 Dragon Fires K- Inconsistent, but can contend here; 5 Strikemout- Third start back and back at a competitive level.

Race 11: 2 Electric Wizard- Wyatt’s choice draws well and always does work; 3 Ohio Star- Wyatt chose the 2, but he remains the major threat; 6 Ideal Ticket- Poor farm, can Dan C. help?

Race 12: 1 Bologna Lips- Better when he can get the front and he should here; 3 Trytopass Sam- Sharp as a tack and could turn the tables; 7 Lotsa Help- back at his bets level, post hurts.

Race 13: 5 He’s Determined- Class relief and first time Charlino make him the lukewarm choice for me; 4 Hickory Hunter- Slowly improving & worthy here; 6 Towner’s Bell- Loves this track.

Race 14: 9 Sky Strikes- Slight call in a well-matched group; 5 Goin Home Ray- Has the best form, but on paper is facing tougher; 3 Free For Life- Class relief and has had best luck with JD; 1 Western Eddie- Needs to finish his miles stronger, but must use in super from the rail.
