That's because I am pulling weekend duty, whule Dave and Ayers cover Monday Tuesday this week. But, never fear, as (almost) always, here are the picks for Monday 4/12. Good luck!
Race 1: 1 Rubberband Man- Aaron & a rail, let’s hope he doesn’t bounce; 3 Ms Cruzin On Top- Consistent & should contend; 9 Kris’s Sweetheart- Well-connected, will she handle the 2nd tier?
Race 2: 3 Our Peggy Sue- Pretty good seasonal debut, can make it two; 4 Tsm Queen B T – Has a decent closing kick; 1 Abc Command- Sort of, kind of, a third back angle, plus the rail.
Race 3: 6 Lucca’s Revenge- Reversible with the 5, this one is the class; 5 Tropicante- Reversible with the 6, this one has form, ultimately price may decide for me; 4 Hawaiian Music Man- Only one who closes regularly and top two choices will be up front.
Race 4: 4 Brooklets Kit Kat- I initially liked the one, but Charlino chose here. Let me rephrase. I picked the one. Don’t really like anything in this race; 1 Odds On R J- Drops to level of last win; 6 Regal Peace- Has been awful on this surface; 3 Jenny’s Spirit- Fresh, but about that qualifier….
Race 5: 1 Parson Brown- Should be ready at first asking for the Brosses; 6 He Cantab You- Doing good work & has upside; 9 Justtherighttouch- A Ryan wake-up call last week, a factor.
Race 6: 1 Dl Cruiser- J. Miller to A. Merriman, this one might improve a tick or two; 4 Hooray For Hannah- Good close last time and may be improving; 6 Maxine’s Boy Can- Has been his best with Robin driving, but last two are an issue.
Race 7: 4 The Skylight N- How low can he go? Gets my call in competitive bunch; 2 Romance’s Thunder- Charlino chose over the three, who I like; 3 Constantinoble- Usually does some work & that’s no “Istan-bull,” 9 Medoalnd Tess- Drops below level of last win, no consistency.
Race 8: 7 Bubontherun- Aaron chose over the #3 & #4 (my initial choice). He takes off a Rideout horse- huge angle; 6 Lucky Jackpot- Consistent, but needs a trip; 8 Bb Badlands- Snowman hurts, but he will closer late.
Race 9: 3 Yana Returns- Usually does at least a bit of work; 1 Magic Dart- Old guy Is usually good from the rail; 7 Madges Jackpot- Usually closes well, will she be close enough early?
Race 10: 9 Lookslikefire- Big effort in a tough trip at this class last time; 3 On Tour- Good return after freshening, consider strongly; 7 He’s Spurtacular- Bothered from the snowman & still beat just 3 lengths in last; 4 Catherinethegreat- Needs to race like her wonder horse Rex to contend.
Race 11: 1 Happytime- Racing well (like the whole barn) and could break through with the win tonight; 3 Samcin- Fits well, especially with Aaron in the bike; 4 Town Goal- Green and races that way, but can contend off move up. He’s fast and will learn to carry it one day.
Race 12: 7 Krissy K- Has lost three in a row. Waaayyy overdue; 3 Lotsa Help- Best draw since his last win, almost two months back; 6 Come Along Fred- Moves up in best form of his career.
Race 13: 4 Elm Grove Gerson- Raced better with drop to this class; 2 Pirate Image- Incon-sistent, but contends with his best; 3 I Am Blue- Class dropper is fresh and needed the last start, + gets Stahl when Russ chose off; 9 Sultan Desbi- Would like him better with nose on the gate.
