Saturday stuff- Feb 13 picks

The best horses on the grounds and few that are coming in off layoffs or changing classes. Lots of opportunities here, but we have to have the right angles. I am on the air, so listen for more detail!

Race 1: 1 Paint Wheel- Wyatt’s pick over #2 & #4 gets best post since the new year, should cruise; 9 Imagine Freedom- Gets Aaron and may ocercome the 2nd tier start; 3 Lady Of The Dragon- Shows some good lines, but shows some bad ones too.

Race 2: 5 Master Wheels- Did work in two of last three against better; 2 Captain Korki- Will be closing well and figures; 7 R Cowboy- Classy oldster is always a factor, but post is an issue.

Race 3: 4 Bigboppr Bluegrass- Moves up after a slight change in scenery; 9 French Attack- No chance in last, first time Charlino; 1 Go Bogart- May contend from he rail with Stahl.

Race 4: 2 Goatcoat George Tm- Moved up & had pace, but shook loose too late to win, another chance;9 Knockout Sahbra- As sharp as he ahs been in years; 1 Brandon’s Art- Usually does decent work and should capitalize on the rail; 6 Lakeside Al N- Looks like the for sale sign is out.

Race 5: 3 Supreme Ruler- Has improved since moving into Kathy’s barn; 2 Andy’s Z Tam- Big last panel to upset last week, in tougher here; 6 Delivered Rules- Moves back up to a level where he ahs been competitive in the past, huge effort last time, his first with Charlino.

Race 6: 6 Winbak Hotshot- So sharp he would dominate the $10s right now. Oh, wait. We don’t have $10s; 1 Tessallation- Continues to race well, but not as well as the choice; 5 Take Five- Flew late last week and will be on the ticket.

Race 7: 1 Bluebird Chrome- Class dropper gets a lukewarm call; 3 Caramel Dumpling- Overmatched in last, his late kick hasn’t netted a win yet; 9 Bucky Can’t Caddy- Big time class relief, but may not be effective from the 2nd tier; 2 Rapid City- Gets Dan C. as Koch chooses off.

Race 8: 9 Awsome Andrea- Claimed for $3,600 and has earned $4,800 in four weeks. That should pay for dinner tonight; 5 Smok’n Coalburner- One of these days…. 6 Ilooklikevada- Sharp mare runs into one that is sharper here.

Race 9: 6 Lancer Springs- Moves back up off an impressive win and may go forward; 1 Wyatt- Speedster gets Lasix & the rail; 2 Celebrity Wonder- Always gives effort & tonight he draws well.

Race 10: 1 Misty’s Dignity- A different horse from the rail, ignore the scratch; 5 Keystone Ranger- Tough trip from snowman in local debut, better here; 4 Uncle Josh- On the ticket, not much else tonight; 9 Now Really- Should get a decent trip behind #1, but Charlino chose to #8!

Race 11: 2 Katie’s Red Rose- Watch the video from 1/30. Never really asked; 5 Wind Surfer- Open stakes performer qualified well, but may need a start; 6 Diamond Hunter- Makes this a pretty darn good race for just $5K.

Race 12: 7 Dontgetintheway- Moves up off a bullet win and gets A-rod again; 1 Bettor Design- Like stablemate in the Open Trot, a good Q, but lay need a start; 2 Cb Three- Finally draws well.

Race 13: 7 Fox Valley Flyby- Class dropper has no Winbak Hotshot here; 4 Road Storm- Gets along with Charlino, or the other way around; 5 The Long Goodbye- Just bad racing luck in his last, another chance; 8 Towline Powerful- Post is the only knock.
