Monday matchups and a poll

Here are the Monday picks-- some youngsters who may step up and provide value, I think.
So, here is a simple poll: Which is more valuable to you in the past performance line?-- The comments like 1st over; 3-wide at 5/8, break cost win -or- listing the trainer in that space.
E-mail me at info@northfieldpark.com and we will draw one winner at random to win a Northfield Park cap.

Giss

Race 1: 6 Ge’s Beth- Gets a better post draw (not a good one, though) and with just a few starts can improve; 8 Rubberband Man- Gets Aaron and the dreaded snowman – you pick the stronger angle and decide; 5 Cassie’s Choice- Needed her last start as a tightener, look for more.

Race 2: 2 Ray J- Drops way down and gets Stahl for Larrabee; 9 Bigmacatac- Racing much better with JD Perrin in bike; 3 Proxies Fame- Freshened and gets Lasix and a class drop.

Race 3: 9 Tj’s Red Devil- Class relief and Melloy calls on Stahl; 4 Pentium Chip- Better in last two, but 0-18 this year and wins 6% lifetime; 7 Rich Man Poor Man- Post will be his issue here.

Race 4: 2 Dude’s Express- Does good work & draws well for Mapes; 9 Crusin Sam- Inconsistent and 2nd tier, but Sugg chose over 5; 5 Engine Hanover- Gets Aaron but is 0-35 this year, on the ticket, not much more; 3 Tooter Lane- Going a bit better for Shafer/Deaton combo;

Race 5: 9 Salute To Victory- Races well even in defeat & has more upside, imo; 4 Mario’s Schatzi- Beat the pick last time, but at seven may have reached her potential; 7 Valient Prayer- Well-bred & form is good, but appears a couple steps slower than the top picks, at least on paper.

Race 6: 6 Three Good Fellows- Needs an aggressive trip, it should happen with Aaron driving; 5 Larry Coy- Improving for new connections; 1 Rj’s Message- No chance in local debut from PP8.

Race 7: 4 Hot Soup- Faces softer after doing everything but beating the $3s; 5 Panti-apartheid- Did big work last time, gets Sugg tonight; 2 Beach Boy Blues- Very consistent and best draw in ages; 1 Arturo’s Reactor- Like #2, has been hampered by recent post draws, consider, but 5-2?.

Race 8: 1 Helookslikeahummer- Moves up & I have no idea what his bottom is, a value play? 3 Over Spurred- Sharp in return after nearly a month off; 5 Chicago Sam- Sugg chose the #3.

Race 9: 9 Catnapper- Class-dropper has had no chance with recent post draws; 4 Saltea’s Sanjay- A class drop off a decent show effort in local debut; 2 Dart Trick- Class relief and E.D.

Race 10: 5 Elm Grove Gerson- Gets class relief and Deaton, it’s now or never; 9 Bubontherun- Always contends at this level; 6 Oneforthepresident- Not as sharp as earlier this year, but fits.

Race 11: 6 Iknowhatboyslike- “I make them want me, I like to tease them,” describes her form well; 8 Krissy K- Great form, but another gut-wrenching 8-hole; 9 Ginny Ann Tonik- Best of rest.

Race 12: 2 Gilligan’s Island- Good results with Stahl as The Skipper; 4 Stand Tall Mcgraw- Maybe recent results woke him up; 3 The Swami- Needs to mind his manners, but post helps.

Race 13: 6 Dd Cam Ram- What’s not to like? 3 Rich Hollow- Third back after two hellacious trips; 7 Linns Dream- Sharp, but not as effective from out here; 2 Chupp Don- Needs to sustain his work but could sneak in for a piece of this.
