Summit Sweepstakes Saturday!

Some very nice Ohio-bred youngsters here. A great night to come out, enjoy a hand made cigar, a beer, or whatever else your vice may be. And bet a lot-- short fields may still provide some value IF we can get some favorites beat. Horsemen-- good luck to you all-- get ;em all back to the barn sound and healthy.

Race 1: 5 Summertime Sam- First driver in ages, should win; 3 Breeze On By N- Drop to this level really helped in last; 9 Drawback- Gets Aaron but the second tier is a bit of a drawback.

Race 2: 3 Master Wheels- Looks to be a two-horse race and I am giving Fast Grerggy the Giss of Death; 1 Done Dreamen- Bud Hatfield in a Billings at Northfield, duh; 5 Candacraigh- Has been “dragging” Troyer around for years and can contend if ready in his third back.

Race 3: 5 Mocha Jo- Outstanding filly should roll in short field; 2 Northmedo Esther- On the board 85% of the time; 4 Arbor Pom Pom Girl- Has faced good ones and can wrap up the tri.

Race 4: 5 Lilians Kay Lin- Favorite destined for a tough trip, this one’s mom was a good one; 1 Miss Ohio Spur- Improving and Page picked; 7 Count On Kate- Marty closes in on 1,000 wins, but snowman can be a killer to a young trotter; 8 Jailhouse Run- How will he deal with 2nd tier?

Race 5: 4 Amtrust Bank- Name shows Goldberg’s got a sense of humor (or promotion) and Aaron chose off one I really liked, let’s have some fun; 2 Shez Good Osborne- Not as good as her siblings….yet; 1 Susie Qusie- Has raced green at times, but has ability.

Race 6: 1 Rose Run Keepsake- Forget the break at Hilliard. Everyone breaks at Hilliard; 6 Chippednstrawberry- 3rd back and very consistent; 5 Shady Chip- Best of the rest.

Race 7: 5 Rose Run Legend- Undefeated in OHSS, easy pick; 3 Sing Jesse Sing- Nice one could step up if choice falters; 1 Three And Two- Great name and mom was pretty good too; 2 Wolf Creek Ted- Needs to stay flat tonight.

Race 8: 5 Forever Ivy- Fresh set of hands may get the upset; 4 Holdzmfromfloppin- Nice filly, but still races raw at times; 2 Ms Yankee Top- Steps up into Stakes company.

Race 9: 3 Call The Warden- Perfect so far; 6 Jazz Spur- Roughed up in debut, should be better tonight; 2 Birthday Hooray- Pretty consistent one draws well for Medors/Page/Sidley.

Race 10: 4 Northmedo Cruiser- Has run into some bearcats, slightly softer group here; 2 Lonesome Cruiser- Coming into his own; 1A Won Nite In Vegas- Three for the price of one; 6 Cruise On Osborne- Lack of gate speed a concern.

Race 11: 5 Colby D- Has improved under Dailey and may be sitting on a big effort; 1 Master’s Cook- Has been facing better, but recent form has tailed off; 3 Sharp Action- Consistent.

Race 12: 2 B Contemporary- A wow with Lasix; 5 Rompaway Beau- Look at what he has been racing against; 3 Trained To Trot- Shocked that Bullet Bob isn’t driving this one himself.

Race 13: 5 Mystique Cruiser- Racing well against better; 4 Cruzin Bayou- Was 14 lengths behind my choice last week; 6 Sadies Legacy- Gets Aaron and may step up.

Race 14: 2 Somethinsgotagive- No chance in last, will be no value here; 6 J Cruise- Has started soph campaign slowly, figures off his best; 4 Medoland Mac- First time Page may help; 1 Tricky Sam- Big step up, but can finish super if he skims the cones.
