Friday Picks and a few comments

Starting with next Friday, Feb 2o, my handicapping tips will be included when you purchase a Northfield Park program at no extra charge. Now, that is advice that is bound to be worth at least what you pay for it, but I want to thank everybody for reacting so positively to my posts on Smokin With The Giss.

I will have to make these picks after scratch time but relatively early due to our program printing schedule, so there may be issues with weather conditions and the like as we get closer. I will continue to post here either the day before or (now) early in the afternoon of the race day, in order to get any updates handled. You can also always watch Me, Dave or Ayres on TV, as we rersve the right to change our minds.

Here are picks for Friday:

Race 1: 4 Three Choices- Looked good but the inteference cost her, another chance; 3 Chocolate Fudge- better in last off the barn change and like top choice actually won a few last year; 1 Tt's First Jet- Her own worst enemy Race 2: 6 B B Balanced Babe- Super sharp, ride the wave; 3 Acadia Sis- one-dimensional but racing well; 2 Hylite Lavec- Usually races well for flyin’ Ryan

Race 3: 1 Spirit Within- A competitive post and she fits well; 5 Biaffairintown- consistent of late, but makes no move after the start; 9 Rascality- the class but don’t like her so much from the 2nd tier.

Race 4: Fleur De Le- 2nd sharpest mare on the track right now; 4 Gram Of Gold- Has been racing better ; 2 Swift Samantha- looks for three in a row in Ohio; 5 Sharon’s Future- form doesn’t last forever as we are seeing. Still solid.

Race 5: 2 Action Big Towner- Easily in local debut, moves back up a bit but no big deal; 3 Scoot To The Top- won last time with Matt K and at this level; 1 Eagle Creek Beauty0 is Joey on the rail every single race tonight?

Race 6: 6 Corelone’s Dream- You didn’t listen last time at 9.5-1. Listen tonight. 1 Krissy K- will have the early calls; 4 Kosher Winner- class over these, may be good off the layoff

Race 7: 4 Sporty Sally- in very cheap and should win; 6 Doowrah’s Stand- was 0 for her last 45 at the start of the week, so 1 in a row is a streak; 3 Dandy Candy-hands around and fits here; 9 Miss Matilda-found victory lane in last, two in a row is too much to ask

Race 8: 4 Anastasia Broadway- To the front of the pack… and beyond; 2 Tag Dancer’s Filly- another Ehrhardt project, she is improving; 8 First Tier- flew late in debut locally, post is a question.

Race 9: 2 Sara]’s Lil Sis- moves up but was fastest winner last Friday and did all the work; 1 Lady McJate- finally a post draw; 4 Theresa’s Princess-ultra consistent

Race 10: 2 Shady Attack class relief and draws well (Joey has a two hole!): 5 Positivereaction N- Getting her legs under off the layoff—has won 41 races!; 1 Jenna’s On Jodi- racing much better of late; 4 Britany Babe- I never know how to play Bobby Sr, but he is always out there working

Race 11: 4 Drop Of Numeg- Kakaley chooses off the ML fave to drive the $ claimer up three classes? She is solid for Fraker, but….5 Ms Maize N Blu- is the class and will get a good drive and better trip than last couple; 6 Redmeansgo- another triple class jumper that you can’t ignore

Race 12: 2 It’s Kim’s Time-0 reunited with Kakaley. That;s enough for me; 4 Attack On The Topwn- drops below the level of her last win; 3 Betty Jack- 3rd back but has shown little since sickness.
Race 13: 1 Armbro Wonder- This old bay mare is racing as well as she ever did; 4 Silky Sailor- Claimed for $4, wins by 8 for $5, drops to 4 and now drops to $3? (btw- my condolences to owner John DeBellis on the loss of his brother Victor); 3 tox Up Bluegrass- Always has been streaky and is in a good one right now; 5 Nude N Naughty-never misses a check (and a Valentine’s wish to all of you)
