The Little Brown Jug is abotu a week away and the big news is that Somebeachsomewhere is DEFINITELY not coming. He scoped sick after his win at Mohawk so he will get some time off. And Artsplace was definitely sick before the Jug that Precious Bunny won, too. Yea, sure.

Look, Somebeachsomewhere is a great horse and if his connections don't want to race him in the Jug, against a very sharp Art Official who becomes the horse to beat, that is their pergoative. And, his 29.4 final panel in his last start may indeed be a sign of sickness. But to me, something just doesn't ring true here. Maybe he is getting tired after going all those big miles. Who knows.

I will predict this right now. No World Record at The Red Mile for SBSW, and I would not be surprised if he gets beat, either by Art Official or someone else. That is if he even races. There is a gnawing thought in the back of my head that we have seen the last of him on the racetrack, nothing I am sure of, just one of those feelings. I have had them before-- when Cam's Card Shark post-paraded at The Jug was the most notable.

Not wishing any ill will on anyone here, just stating an opinion.

Oh- By the way, bet the Kiwis tonight in the New Zealand- US Amateur challenge. Anything can happen in these races (and usually does-- even I finished 2nd at 19-1 driving Albert's Angel the first year of the event), but Stve Phillips and Tim Vince are the two best dirvers int he race and have two of the three best horses.

Back tomorrow to see if we cashed on Team New Zealand (or if SBSW has been retired)
