Happy Thursday! Today's cigar of the day is the Thompson LaMoneda Torpedo. I call it my gardening cigar, because they are less than a buck a piece in bundles. I think our gift shop sells them for $2 or so. I smoke the maduro and it is big and full, occaisionally a bit woody, but for the price it's a best buy.
The new website is up and folks seem to enjoy it. There have been a few issues and we are constantly working to correct/improve them. If you see something that needs fixed, e-mail me at info@northfieldpark.com. We have had requests to update our leading drivers, which we will do shortly.
A few questions for you-- are you able to easily read the dropdown menus? Does your homepage ever "jump" when you scroll, and if so are you using a roller mouse or an infra-red or wireless? Are pdf files loading fast enough?
Thanks, in advance for the feedback.
Aaron Merriman has been red hot of late, and with Matt Kakaely spending his last couple Saturdays in Buffalo, the two-time defending driving champ has moved into second in the driver standings. Boy, the race is tight and figures to be all year. Ryan Stahl has 170 wins, A-rod has 168 and Matty-K sits at 165.
The only thing hotter than A-rod may be the Indians staring ptichers. 43.1 shutout innings is just sick and the starters may just allow the Tribe to hang around lonmg enough until the lumber awakes.
Speaking of the Indians, you have to love the way guys like Jamie Carroll, Asdrubal Cabrerra and Mr. Guttierez play the game. Almost worth the price of admission. BTW- if you can't get to the track Saturday, Jake Westbrook is scheduled to make a rehab start with the Eastlake, err, Lake County, Captains. The Giss family will be there (cause we are too cheap to go see the Tribe, lol)
The Cavs could easily have wontwo of the three games in Boston, but, instead they have put themselves in a hole. They will bounce back and win Friday, but a game 7 win is unlikely in Beantown-- unless Lebron steps it up. Either way, I am afraid the Detroit Pistons move on to the finals.
See you soon!
