Saturday Stuff

It's amazing what a couple new drivers - Tyler Smith and Greg Grismore -- do the overall quality of the driver colony and to the bettability (is that a word) of these cards. Charlino, Merriman, Noble, Stahl, Deaton, plus these two and we have fewer auto-pitches and have to handicap effectively. Even Kurt Sugg managed a five-bagger Wednesday. Good Luck!

Race 1: 3 Mr Oxford- Only because Noble chose him over #1, who I like on paper; 1 Avenue A- Won’t exactly suffer with Grismore; 5 Genesis See Ya- Most consistent of these, trip just didn’t work out in last.

Race 2: 3 Big Bad Tj- Gets his best post draw in nearly three months; 5 Gyraider- May go forward with Aaron; 1 Doowrah’s Deal- Had no chance in two starts at $400 due to post draw.

Race 3: 6 Special D- Was fried by the fractions in last, he’s better than that; 4 Fueled N Waiting- Charlino chose this class dropper over #1 and 3; 5 Forever Friendly- Eligible at time of entry.

Race 4: 1 Western Gun- Just a hunch he is sitting on a big effort from the rail; 5 Saucy Brown- Usually hangs around, but needs to do more; 2 Break he Bank- Generally dos ok when drawing inside; 3 Vilas Blue Chip- Moves up off a win and gets fresh hands with Noble choosing of.

Race 5: 5 Depravedhedonist- Overdue for a win; 1 Cunning Design- Ultra-consistent and he gets the rail; 2 Country Creek- Did good work in debut for new connections and may improve.

Race 6: 8 Valley Of Vice- Charlino may steal the front or at least a 2-hole and win it; 3 Awsome Andrea- Racing well against similar and figures with her best; 1 R Cowboy- Classy old guy figure from the rail.

Race 7: 3 Picasso’s Dream- As sharp as any cheap claimer anywhere; 6 Dakotas Bridgeman- We picked him last week at 11-1, but will be a prisoner to the flow; 2 Dd Cam Ram- Needs to sustain his work; 1 Motorcycle Mike- Just no value and unproven in Armstrong barn.

Race 8: 4 Straight To Ruin- Could easily be on a six-race win streak with a bit of luck; 1 Scootin Higher- Figures, since he is “scootin lower;” 3 Worries Stay Small- But his odds stay big. Value chance.

Race 9: 2 Snows Bangert Boy- Racing well, draws well and has Aaron; 1 Hall Oak- Not convinced he isn’t facing tougher, maybe the rail helps; 7 Epes- Moves up, but may be getting braver.

Race 10: 6 Slade Gram- Slight call in this one; 1 Phagus Hall- will flip him with Slade if odds warrant it; 5 Just A Little Crazy- Gets class relief and Grismore, but current form iffy; Jl Nate The Great- Gets class relief, but shows what?

Race 11: 1 Moreland Flash- Repeat of 2/5 effort is a repeat trip to the winners circle; 8 Imperious- Love the horse, hate the post; 4 Caramel Dumpling- Hoping for a speed duel, or at least hot fractions.

Race 12: 4 Key Western- Out on a limb since Noble chose off, but class wins out; Vince The Man- No slouch in form or class; 5 Raines Hanover- $13K Delaware purchase may need a start up north.

Race 13: 3 Gallows Pole- Not wild about the chalks here, so let’s hope he is ready at 1st asking; 5 Auto Pilot- Is a regular beaten favorite, cannot use on top; 1 Zakman- Really should have won one of his last five or so; 9 Foo Too- Usually hangs around and Tyler Smith is finding his stride.
