On The Eve of Thanksgiving...

...while I gorge myself on turkey and the works Thursday, while enjoying some fine wine (if my in-laws were coming it would be fine whine, of course) and company, I will make sure to take a step back to truly give thanks for more than just a day off from work.
As you know, I end my broadcasts witht he pharse Enjoy Every Sandwich, which was made semi-famous by my freind, the late Warren Zevon. It means take nothing for granted, even the simplest pleasures, well, let me him explain it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmjTQqJXtgs

The comment starts about 2 minutes in and then he explains as the interview goes on.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours! Good luck.

Race 1: 3 Filou Dream- Spearman to Ehrhardt. This always works; 6 Huslindlux- Has to mind her manners, but has ability; 1 Yocky- Needs better more gate speed, but has two straight thirds.

Race 2: 2 Canaco Kubota- Draws well & has been on the board in 2 of last 6, more than the others; 4 Speak To Me Easy- Kind of hangs around and may improve against these; 3 Deacon George- Moderate close last time and he may be heating up a bit.

Race 3: 1 Lotsa Help- Form has dropped off, but back class never does; 4 Let’s Not Lock It- Always works & is well classified; 8 Clayton Delaney- If he can overcome the snowman. Value?

Race 4: 2 Soul Redeemer- Ultra consistent and draws well; 6 Samcin- Big win last time, but not as effective out here, still a contender; 9 Laredos Goose- Northfield return was a good one; 4 G Rod- Can leave quickly and will be overlooked at the windows.

Race 5: 2 Iknowhatboyslike- Streaky and moving into a good form cycle; 3 Trytopass Sam- Closes willingly and will be a part of it late; 8 Lucca’s Revenge- Leader tiring is not a great comment for an eight-hole starter.

Race 6: 3 More Than A Song- $2100 Delaware purchase is good on a half; 2 Magic Dart- Wyatt chose over #9, who I like; 9 Good Goalie- Drops below the level of last win, but no checks since.

Race 7: 1 Western Empire- Another chance, had to back out to get free last week; 6 No Escape N- No escape from wicked early fractions; 9 Macinnis Seelster- Inconsistent, but was good last start; 2 House Of Green- Moves up in good form, but this is not his best level.

Race 8: 6 Rose Run Invader- Assuaged the doubters, like me, last week; 1 Jeff’s Night Out- Double class drop & the rail; 4 Chust Chudy- Classy old mare must be considered despite form.

Race 9: 5 Robin Dontget- Always tries and can win again without moving up; 1 Winbak Len- Showing signs of waking up, but… 2 Vilas Blue Chip- Gets fresh hands and may improve.

Race 10: 3 Jl Nate The Great- Sharp and can handle the jump; 5 Licoln N- Improving each start; 9 Cruisin The Waves- All about the trip; 4 Hillcrest Bigdaddy- Needed that first local start.

Race 11: 2 Prime Number- I really like the move to Shetler; 5 Mr Sam- Tired late, is his form tailing off? 8 Lookslikefire- Post is awful, but Myrick has options with him.

Race 12: 4 Heex Ruthelss N- Awful trip in last, but super-game effort; 5 Saltea’s Sanjay- May surprise here; 3 Cousin Mikey- His bid may not Stahl tonight.

Race 13: 2 Three Sox Missing- Racing well, but doesn’t win much; 5 Take The Long Way- Gets Deaton, was ineffective last time in this class; 4 Madges Jackpot- Moves up off several good performances; 1 Class Worker- Eidens is almost always good from the rail.
