Saturday Suggestions

The Orange Lady Lions and Geneva Eagles contest Shoot For The Cure to benefit the Stefanie Spielamn foundation on Saturday, so I will be absent. But my picks won't be. Here you go. Good luck!

Race 1: 5 Christina Victory- Very sharp and should handle these with ease; 4 Lipey- Needs to trot the mile, but is 1st time Charlino; 6 Celebrity Wonder- Draws inside the other open trotter.

Race 2: 1 Western Outfitter- Won’t be 7-1 this time, but should still win; 7 Object Of Art- Assigned outside off two county fair wins. That Bianconi is tough; 3 Painted Speed- Needed the last start but was doomed from the snowman.

Race 3: 3 Master Lad Pro- Doesn’t win a lot, but in best form of these; 4 Freedom Hall- Hall drives Hall again; 6 Mysterious Speed- Classy old guy moves up. So does the horse.

Race 4: 7 Rock-n-patty- 1st time Charlino in a long time and big class relief; 1 Exceptional Toy- Class dropper gets the rail; 8 Red Phoenix- Tony chose over the 7, but 8 hole may be too much to overcome despite the drop; 3 Varitek- Was much better in last, his first recently at the bottom.

Race 5: 1 Awesome Abe- Tony Hall and the rail get him to the winners circle; 3 Big Guy- Always does work, needs a better trip; 5 He’s All Art- Beat lesser in less and can still improve.

Race 6: 2 Saltea’s Sanjay- Ride the wave until he loses, even up in class; 7 Lucky Jackpot- Racing well, just too tough from out here; 1 Heez Ruthless- Should get a perfect trip for Sam.

Race 7: 9 Supreme Ruler- Bet down for some reason at Open level and now Dan chooses over 1/3/4!?! 4 Category Six- Has had many good results with GGG driving; 3 Jenna’s Dream- How will he respond for Koch? 5 Artistic Dreamer- Won’t be 20-1 with T Hall driving.

Race 8: 3 Dream Misty- Drops to the level of her last win; 7 Maria Sandrina- Not as effective from out here, but still a factor; 2 Silver Dollar Star- First decent post in ages, contender.

Race 9: 3 Try To Relax- Charlino chose him over the 2/4/5/7 and so will I; 2 Lossofmemory- I can’t remember why I liked this horse; 4 Udontwantnunofthis- Solid and gets Grismore.

Race 10: 5 Big Bad Tj- Current form iffy, but he can go with these, especially with Dan C; 3 Knob Hill Splash- Beat similar two back, Opens too tuff; 2 Mr Orchard Street- Hall chose the 3, but won’t suffer with GGG; 1 Expresso Forte- Returns from Minnesota & may need a local start.

Race 11: 3 Rapid Pursuit- 3rd back & right back at level of life mark win in last; 1 Sharp Shuttle- Big win last time, faces a bit better here; 6 Intrepid Aries- Professional racehorse, on ticket.

Race 12: 1 Hot Soup- Was very effective at this level at bottom of form; 2 Sunset Ball- Class dropper needs to do better; 4 Stand Tall Mcgraw- Miller chose the 2 over this one and 5/6.

Race 13: Green Acre Pill- Has to win again eventually, right? 7 Knockout Sahbra- A hunch he will be better with Charlino; 9 Dragon Rider- Needs to sustain his work better; 3 Three Sox Missing- Closed well last time, improving?
