Monday thoughts and considerations

A thin driving colony, especially early, could mean look for the value, but pay close attention to warm-ups...lots of youngsters in tonight. Good luck.

Race 1: 5 Hoosier Lion- Needs to do a bit more, but Koch chose and this is a soft group; 6 Night Trouble- Has done moderate work most times; 1 Big Head Hundreds- Made a break from this spot last time he had it, a hunch he’ll be better.

Race 2: 4 Actions By Chip- Lukewarm call due to the class relief; 6 Forever American- Needs to finish his miles stronger; 3 Mulebarn Bob- Gets a decent draw and could factor into this one.

Race 3: 1 Ms Cruzin On Top- Class relief and the rail may be enough to get her home; 5 Robin Dontget- Recent form is poor, but it’s $600L5; 4 Cb Attack- 3rd start back angle, I’m desperate.

Race 4: 5 Native Fate- Should step up in perhaps the biggest drive change in Northfield history; 9 Scootin Bliss- $4400 Delaware buy for Epler seems pretty good; 1 Jack Maverick- May improve in 2nd start for Falcon; 2 Jl Nate The Great- good draw and some gate speed, consider;

Race 5: 6 Shady Attack- Class dropper is fresh and that is the key here; 3 Western Eddie- Robin chose over the two; 1 Eagle Creek Patrol- Another chance in 2nd start for Sherman/Epler.

Race 6: 9 Count N Caloris- Brutal trip at Canfield, can she handle the 2nd tier? 5 Rose Run Kordell- 1st time claiming tag; 2 American Grace K-Let’s see if Charlino helps her.

Race 7: 1 Lilly More Power- Needs to more than at the fairs, Charlino should help a lot; 4 Moira’s Intended- New on the board streak starts here; 7 Pembroke Sunny- Was racing well for the owner, now a pro driver; 1 Alluring Bunny- Has speed, needs to sustain it, probably won’t.

Race 8: 2 Big Guy’s Serve- Will be on the engine, but must steer better & not run out of gas; 3 Dashes Dreamer- Tough to move up from maiden claimer to here; 4 Mcarty- Consistent.

Race 9: 4 That’s Textbook- He’s 0-30 in ‘10, if he can’t win here with Dan…2 Bahama Bomber- Freshened & a decent Q; 5 Sand Honors- Does work, but recent trips haven’t worked out.

Race 10: 5 Diehl’s Deal- Beat similar last time with a two-move mile; 1 Trotting Matrix- Needed that last start, don’t dismiss him; 7 Iknowwhatboyslike- Consistent and may find a way from a bad post; 2 Striking Genius- Form is improving, but these are better than the last couple groups.

Race 11: 2 Slide Lock- Class relief and Charlino, ‘nuff said; 3 Rudy- Contends with his best, but very inconsistent; 4 Go Cowboy Go- Class relief should help him immensely.

Race 12: 3 Auto Pilot- Certainly describes the last race, similar wins; 4 Bodandy Andy- Beat these last time from the 2nd tier; 5 Feelin Mean- 2nd start for Sam after the Delaware sale, better.

Race 13: 6 Ilooklikevada- Third back and the only claimer in here; 3 Mr Sam- Gets Mr Sam in the bike and they opened up the class for him; 5 Shipshie Doug- Has been facing better; 7 Clayton Delaney- Good speed, bad post, new driver, you make the call.
