Monday moaning

Long (but good) weekend. Back at it tonight. Pick 5 Carryover, although my confidence is at low ebb on this one:

Try 189/23/35/16/679 for $72. Really need to find a single on this one and am not seeing it. Good Luck!

Race 1: 2 Norma’s Jewel- Usually very competitive and should win despite the time off; 4 What I Say- 8-5 ML says more about the others than about him, imo; 1 Jazzys Boy- Had no chance in his return, but did a bit of work;

Race 2: 2 Pea Ridge- The class relied really helped last time, solid; 9 Susie Qusie- Gets a tag for the first time; 4 Hobies Ascooten- Consistently third at this level, try again.

Race 3: 8 Air Louie- Needs to overcome snowman, but has speed & could surprise; 1 Stormont Hawk- 3rd back, 1st Charlino, 1st rail, the numbers say solid; 9 Nico Mirabel- Inconsistent, at best.

Race 4: 3 Longlegacy- Solid two-year-old has been decent so far this year; 2 Dragon Fires K- Moves up even though still eligible for the tag; 8 Oaks Luck- May be in for another tough trip here; 5 Go Cowboy Go- Beat these in seasonal debut, so must consider.

Race 5: 5 Smok’n Coalburner- Lukewarm call in a competitive group; 3 Prime Number- Is decent when he draws well; 2 Call Me Merkle- Gets Dan C., but is a step slower than top picks.

Race 6: 1 Shady Sequel- Barn change to the world famous media mogul Marty Adler; 6 Hersehl Kiss- Gets the nation’s top driver; 4 Lashas Last- Needs to sustain his work and he just might.

Race 7: 9 Mother Superior- Tough trip moving up to this level, should be better here; 6 Sheza Cruiser- Gets Merriman for trainer Tye; 7 Palmach- Not as effective with an outside draw, but still figures; 5 Blueridge Magdalen- Aaron chose off her to the 6.

Race 8: 1 Trytopass Sam- Has been sharp as a tack since the April qua; 4 Try To Relax- Racing well off Clark’s Delaware purchase; 2 Valantine De Vie- Gets fresh hands, consider.

Race 9: 6 Catch K D- Not sure what his bottom is, but the qualifier was good; 5 Ohio Frontier- Racing well and is the main threat; 4 Jessejo- Needs to trot the mile, if he does, he figures.

Race 10: 3 Dragon Seeker- Seems to be better without Lasix, a playa; 9 Slippery Phil- Has been facing better, but may need a local start; 1 Three Times Silver- Third back and a good post draw; 2 Guile’s Boy- Stalking trip is key for him here.

Race 11: 2 Redzilla- Best post draw in two months makes him a contender; 3 Conductors Timeout- Can be his own worst enemy, but contends if he stays flat; 7 Fortune King- Moves up off two in a row and a lifetime mark. Don’t dismiss.

Race 12: 2 Currently Flying- Faced a tough group last time, don’t think these will go 55.3; 6 Tally Ho Don- Going with the fresh horse angle; 8 Rella’s Trick- Gets Aaron, but also gets PP8.

Race 13: 1 Rapid City- Class dropper gets my call in a bottom group that appears better than those in the 12th; 6 Nl Nuclearmedicine- Has been competitive at this level before; 2 Go For It- 3rd back and class drop; 3 Hard Time Gone- Even though JD chose off, I will put him 4th.
