Momma said there'd be nights like this

Wow. A nearly impossible card to handicap, but your intrepid humble scribe is not deterred. Watch the newcomers score before wagering them (or before pitching them, for that matter)

Race 1: 9 Vic’s Looker- Good first effort this year, but he is vulnerable from the 2nd tier; 3 Great Song- Safe trip without hopples last time, look for a more aggressive effort; 7 Jesse’s Escape- Did work in qualifier, first time with Lasix.

Race 2: 2 Hobies Ascooten- A lukewarm call, but has a better post and shows some work; 5 Passport- Fried by the trip last time, but showed something for awhile; 3 Trixiespowertoy- $1500 Delaware purchase has followed fast, and J.G. specializes in these kind.

Race 3: 3 Tropicante- May be better in for $3K, but should compete here; 1 Wyatt- Needs to finish his miles better, but will be forward early from the rail; 5 Lotsa Help- Figures, but offers no value.

Race 4: 1 Whiteascanbe- Usually makes a late move and may be more forward from the rail; 3 Catnapper- Has been a bit of a tease, but Aaron chose over the 6 and 8; 6 Fake Embrace A- Gets class relief; 9 Tooter Lane- In for a tough trip, but could get a small piece of this.

Race 5: 3 Count Dracula- 3rd back and racing well; 1 Ohio Frontier- Good first effort and should be close up early; 2 Jazz Spur- Aaron chose over the nine as he moves up off a maiden win.

Race 6: 3 Zorgwijk Javelin- Just a hunch that he will score here; 1 follow Me- Has tactical speed and fits with these; 2 Ms Denali- Risky after she ran around the track, but gets class relief.

Race 7: 9 Proud Bill- Races like this make it hard to be a public handicapper; 3 Coalford Admiral- Does work, needs to sustain it; 2 Odds On R J- Races pretty well with Aaron driving him; 1 Rd Rustler- Has finished poorly of late, but gets a third start back angle.

Race 8: 3 San Diego Kosmos- Has some back class and faces a soft group; 4 Try To Relax- Clark has done well with Delaware purchased, he paid $2700 for this one; 1 Chili Chonga- The rail and Aaron should spell improvement.

Race 9: 4 The Perfect Man- Needed last start after a month off & should win; 3 Freedom Hall- Gets major class relief, but needs to do more; 2 On Tour- 3rd back after drawing 7 & 8 in last two.

Race 10: 1 Pure Strength- Won with a monster effort at this level two back and now is “3rd back,” 6 Left’em Standing- Gets Merriman, but has shown little this year; 9 Crusinfull Throttle- Tye calls on a catch driver, a tell; 4 Lima Jag- Moves up off the maiden win, a tough task.

Race 11: 1 Going Hollywood- A slight call if he minds his manners; 6 Trytopass Sam- Improving & could easily turn the tables; 9 Red Radar Gun- Doing moderate work & may be ok.

Race 12: 3 Pace- Gets a barn change off a $4K Delaware purchase. Henry to Aaron is an interesting driver change; 1 Michello- Very consistent, was parked last week which cost the win; 2 Taffy Towne- Mare has overcome adversity and is a solid player for Team Mapes.

Race 13: 5 Irish Raider- A Team Mapes late double is not impossible, class relief; 1 Leach- Was better in last with Aaron, but don’t like his strike rate; 6 Lashas Last- Another that can be on the ticket, but not much more; 8 Travolta- Newcomer may need a start after drawing the snowman.
