I have a feeling that weather permitting, this is going to be a chalky night as several mares build on their win streaks. There is some value, but it will be a tough card to turn a profit without a big bankroll to start with.
My PT has cleared me to start playing soccer again, so I start in goal tonight for my new team, sponsored by www.thenearpost.net, and have no idea how we will do. But it will be great ot be back on the pitch, even if it is indoors and artificial turf. That means Bianconi will handle mosty Fridays for the next couple months, and I will ber on the air on Saturdays.
Good luck!
Race 1: 2 Pbk Redriver Cammi- None of these impress me, so let’s go with the 2nd-time Lasix, 1st time Charlino, 1st decent draw angles (and value); 4 Mommas Gone Cruzin- Best draw in 2 months, but shows little else; 9 Red Hott Alert- Does work but trip will be tough from 2nd tier.
Race 2: 2 Awsome Andrea- Has improved with each local start & now gets Aaron; 4 Spurlin- Good 1st local effort & Robin chose over #5; 5 Done It All- May have bounced in last, a chance.
Race 3: 4 Shelbys Muneymaker- Due for a win, and racing well; 1 Nativedreamcatcher- Good draw & Page chose over the #9, who is better on paper; 5 Playin Magic- Dominated class at Leb.
Race 4: 9 Odessa Angus- Has always loved this track and is super sharp; 4 P C’s Exotica- Very consistent, figures strongly; 5 Lanes Chatty Girl- A perfect example of why Ohio needs to return to a 30-day rule; 8 Race On Wonder- Gets Lasix and the snowman, solid other than post.
Race 5: 1 Pamela Lou- Finally getting it back together; 3 Magical Delight- Solid effort from 2nd tier in local bow; 9 Deliver Val- Should contend at this level, despite the 2nd tier.
Race 6: 4 Beauty’s Life- 3rd start back & last was a big trip; 1 Doowrah Silver- Needs to show some gate speed at this level & post; 2 Scoot To The Top- Boss says I have to pick 3 horses.
Race 7: 4 Ferris Wheel- Sharpest of a pretty sharp group of threes; 3 Life Uptown- Needs to steer better after a tough trip in last; 6 Raider Time- Was 2nd best last time buy may have bottomed; 9 Game Portia- Usually does work and was very good for Charlino in last.
Race 8: 2 Redmeansgo- What’s not to like, the best bet tonight; 3 Fun For Eva Mo- Continues to improve for Grampa and Cox; 1 Jl’s Night Music- Good draw and the Swartz is with her.
Race 9: 6 Parking Place- Looks for and should get 4th in a row here; 5 Look To Book- In a bit too tough in last, fits; 2 Shady Attack- Racing well and draws best in a couple months.
Race 10: 2 Colossal Sahbra- Just keeps winning as Kent & Daryl keep her where she dominates; 1 Blueridge Flirting- Racing well, but not as well as my pick; 6 Smileifyoucam- Another sharp one suffers from draw; 9 Scooters Clan- Best of the rest, but I am hitting the all.
Race 11: 6 Miss Big Time- Beat these last time and should again; 1 Knight Toy- Perfect trip last time, but is green and can go forward; 5 Winsmith Rachel- Moves up off a local debut win.
Race 12: 3 Mephisto Waltz- Having a devil of a time picking her at right time, should be tonight with class drop; 2 Polo Aub- Troubled trip in last, line is deceptive; 1 Scent Of Magic- To show.
Race 13: 2 Precious Lass- Looks like a different horse with Russ driving, a winner? 9 Up Front Lady Gray- Poor form, but in cheap & may turn it around; 8 Janica- Like the mare, hate the post.
Race 14: 7 Katies Valentine- Drops to uncharted territory and rolls; 3 Little Lu Lu- Needs to sustain her work, may try to bottom them; 1 Jj’s Request- Hangs around and should be on the ticket; 4 Expensive Bay- Did good work dropping in with these and may figure.

What does that mean, the 30 day rule?
Good question. In most states, a horse who does not race for 30 days has to requalify. For some reason, a few years back, the Ohio Racing Commission adopted a 45-day rule, meaning a horse could be off six weeks and not have to qualify. I think this is unfair to bettors and actially costs the tracks wagering dollars in the long run due to the uncertainty of those horses' performances.
Thanks for the explanation. Yeah, I hate to bet standarbreds off that long of a layoff. With tb/qh, you can make a decision about their fitness much more easily, but even if the standardbreds are fit you don't know how well they will be able to keep stride, etc.
