Monday Handicapping Thoughts

A very interesting card, some sharp horses matching up, especially green trotters-- pick the right ones and there may be some decent tickets forthcoming. Good luck!

Race 1: 9 Alluring Bunny- Raced well in 2 local starts, but may be Short; 3 Queens Scooter- Wake up call in last & gets J.D. again; 2 Scoot’n’s Shadow- Solid, but a step slow on paper.

Race 2: 7 Larry Coy- Racing exceptionally well since the Swartz has been with him; 1 Photo Enlargement- Big time post relief will help, but Clair is batting .067; 6 Come Along Fred- Raced well first time E.D. in his last start.

Race 3: 7 Night Trouble- Double class drop, but post is an issue; 9 Sand Honors- Contends here, may improve with change of scenery; 5 Ru Lonesome Tonite- Drops to level of last win.

Race 4: 4 Ryans Hall- My black Eyed Peas choice- “I’ve Got a Feeling,” shows little other than 3rd back angle; 3 Ohio Star- Beat these two back, was awful in last, gets Wyatt back; 5 Uphill Battle- Classy old guy can contend; 8 Big Town Event- Decent horse, bad post.

Race 5: 8 Diehl’s Deal- Tough trip in last and now gets the snowman, may still prevail; 2 Lucky Job- The major contender, I am boxing my exacta; 3 J And S Hoover- Raced well in his return.

Race 6: 3 Hoosier Lion- Form has taken a U-turn since getting Lasix; 2 Linns Dream- Post hurt in last two starts, another chance; 9 Happytime- Swartz chose off, but he usually does work.

Race 7: 3 Western Eddie- Has been hanging around the last couple, but is just 1 of 21 this year; 1 Eza Rich King- Closed well in last and now gets the rail; 2 Three Times Silver- Fresh horse needed the last start; 4 Pacificam- Moves up, but may be coming around.

Race 8: 6 Chicago Sam- Heck of a debut season at age six; 1 Carry In The Wood- Another chance after the break, good form prior; 5 Mom’s Looker- $10.5K at Delaware, but off 4 weeks.

Race 9: 3 Krissy K- Absolutely brilliant at this level & going for the nation win title; 4 Karen Miller- Good ½ mile efforts at Northville, consider; 2 Baba S- Big time class relief & a solid post.

Race 10: 7 Capricious Art- Sharp enough he may overcome the bad draw; 1 As If I’m Magic- Rail should benefit his racing style; 6 Hot Soup- Snowman cost any chance last time and that’s no bouillabaisse; 2 Bubontherun – Consistently on the board and must use in super, if not the tri.

Race 11: 5 Honorable Guy- Form is superb and barn is hot again; 1 Dummy Jones- Very good effort in last, must stay flat; 9 Hawaiian Music Man- Gets a barn change. Mele Kalikimaka.

Race 12: 1 Laci’s-Town- Has raced well since returning from Indy; 6 Slayer Of Dragons- Traffic trouble in his local debut, I have a hunch he will be good tonight; 2 Soul Redeemer- Hasn’t really sustained his work at this level.

Race 13: 2 Ge’s Antonio- Monster mile at the bottom, similar wins this with ease; 3 Electric Wizard- Big time class and post relief, the main threat; 4 Exceptional Toy- Has been pretty good lately, should be on the ticket; 6 Arturo’s Reactor- Consistent with the trainer in the bike.
