Saturday Stuff and The Kit-Kat Race

After five of the seven (or wa sit only four) maiden trotters in Wednesday's opener made breaks, I referred to it as a Kit Kat race- You know, Give Me A Break, Give Me A Break, Break me off a piece fot hat Kit Kat Bar. SO a Kit Kat race is one with too many breakers, especially one that goes in 10 and 1! I know the wind was strong, but...
I am on the air Saturday (I know it originally said Sunday-- I was on the phone with Mrs. Giss planning our big Sunday Chanukah Celebration while typing (Never put Mrs. Giss on hold) and had Sunday on the brain), so watch for changes based on driver illness or scratches, or weather condition. Good Luck!

Race 1: 2 Four Starz Motor- Monster effort behind a sharp one last time; 6 Sassy Marvel- Post will be an issue unless she finds a seat; 7 Genna- Crist calls on a catch-driver, but post worries.

Race 2: 1 Awesome Abe- Doesn’t win much, but is consistent & gets the rail; 4 Blue My Mind- Good effort in last, but does not always fire; 6 Cb Three- Will improve in 2nd try for new owner.

Race 3: 3 Seaworthy- Solid vet turned in his bets effort in ages last week; 8 Conductors Timeout- Fats enough, but can he overcome the snowman? 9 High Gear Speed- Broke off an awesome win, which one shows up here? Risky.

Race 4: 5 Romance’s Thunder- Drops back to level of the claim for Epler/Sugg; 2 Nulcear Cam- Recent post draws have cost him any chance; 1 Encil- Fits well from the rail in 2nd start for new connections; 4 The Long Goodbye- Gets Merriman and could step up and surprise.

Race 5: 1 Now Really- Class relief & a good draw win it; 3 A J Cress- Consistent & must use on ticket, but no on top; 2 Take Five- No chance with his last draw for Dale Loney off the claim.

Race 6: 1 Strategic Win- Big effort even in defeat last time; 2 Genesis Royalimage- Very fast and gets Aaron back; 6 Go To Joe- Surprised at this level on the move up, use in exotics.

Race 7: 1 Winbak Hotshot- Draws best and is most consistent of a good group; 5 Tessallation- I really like this horse a lot, he figures here; 6 Fox Valley Flyby- Moves back outside a bit, but could still win it; 7 Just Catch Ya- Not sure how good he is and won’t find out tonight from the 7.

Race 8: 3 Mr Orchard Street- So he missed a week, would have been 1-2 last week; 4 Up Front Guy- Gets Aaron which may get him rolling; 1 Asbury Juke- Class relief and the rail, perhaps.

Race 9: 7 Striking Genius- Two straight “wow” miles as he moves up to face the best; 2 Extreme Makeover- Great draw and gets Aaron; 3 Chust Chudy- Classy old mare.

Race 10: 5 Camcoder- Not assigned, he gets the call; 2 Lite Me Up- Repeat last week’s exacta; 4 Painted Speed- Impressive mile in last for the 2 Ryans; 6 Category Six- Gets Charlino.

Race 11: 1 Anastasia Broadway- Best post draw in months, could surprise; 3 Bologna- Raced well in return to the Flying Turns; 5 Yankee Coburn- Does best racing with Charlino in the bike.

Race 12: 2 Joey Pants- Held on in his local debut, should repeat; 3 Road Storm- Game effort in time, but doomed to similar, I fear; 6 Toronado Mindale- Another astute claim for The Professor.

Race 13: 2 Kzul Sx Bluegrass- Does good work, but hasn’t been winning much; 7 Fake Embrace A- Big class relief; 6 Forthoseabouttorock- Usually does work, we salute you.

Race 14: 3 Miss Big Time- Keeps rolling forward, just lost to a monster in last; 2 Miss Peabody’s Hat- So-so, but Aaron chose over 9; 9 Slick-as-sleet- First time Charlino angle worth considering; 1 Miller’s Susan- Can be on the board if she paces the mile.
