Remember- picks go on hiatus for a week or so, but to quote Ford Prefect or Douglas Adams, DON'T PANIC!
Good luck!
Race 1: 4 Best Lookin- Third start back, gets a tag, looked good in last at Leb, gets Stahl; 3 Maria Sandrina- Gets a little better with every start; 1 Lima Ritch- Rail helps him, he has speed.
Race 2: 3 Fortune King- Back at his best level, may not be favored; 5 Laser Bay- Needs to sustain what has been moderate work so far; 9 A Joe- Another chance after the costly break.
Race 3: 9 A Firm Kisser- Our Black Eyed Peas “I’ve Got A Feeling That Tonight’s Gonna Be A Good Night,” pick; 4 Sand Honors- Hangs around when he stays on-stride; 7 Apprentice- Gets a barn change and may move forward with Deaton driving.
Race 4: 2 Road Storm- Drops to the level of his last win and should be just fine; 3 Standnbecounted- Superduper consistent, may need a local start; 4 Hot Soup- Best post in a month helps; 1 Edison Hanover- Big question mark off scratch, since last layoff was so long.
Race 5: 6 Diehl’s Deal- Needs a breather at some point in the mile, or a change in strategy? 9 Lucky Job- Tough trip for Millersburg Ben last time, another shot; 2 Abc Flower- Fits well here.
Race 6: 7 Osborne’s Bullet- Third back & huge class relief, ought to roll despite draw; 2 Happy Hylight- Showing versatility lately; 1 Green Acre Pill- Almost lasted off hot fractions in last.
Race 7: 2 Buzz Hershey- Was overmatched at $300ps, not 100% convinced at $250, but little else to suggest; 3 Barratry- Melloy-Stahl angle is a favorite; 5 Provara’s Best- Inconsistent, but this is a soft group for the class; 1 Coin Of The Realm- Dan K will push him forward early.
Race 8: 4 Lotsa Help- Very sharp and should continue his run of good results; Danny-o- Also in good form, but appears a step or two slower that the pick; 7 Savage Hall- Has done work form the outside, but has a tough spot here.
Race 9: 9 Make Me Proud Chico- Only because Aaron gave up rail horse (my initial pick) for 2nd tier horse; 1 Up Front Hanover- Impressed 12/20; 5 Bt Lurch- Good races @ Leb may translate.
Race 10: 1 Noble Maximus- Should be better with this draw & Page driving; 7 Exceptional Toy- Has been solid with Stahl driving; 6 Soul Redeemer- A bit of a tease, but should be on ticket somewhere; 9 Standing Room- Would like him much better with nose on the gate.
Race 11: 2 Krissy K- Goes for #20 and a National Championship at her best level; 3 Larry Coy- Has done outstanding work, but will be pressured tonight; 4 I Da Girl- Improving, but another one who wants the front (I just don’t see a legit closer here, which would be the logical play)
Race 12: 2 Thisoldartofmine- Blew ‘em away at the bottom with a decent draw, just maybe here; 1 Supreme Ruler- Has speed enough that the rail helps; 6 Gilligans Island- A hunch.
Race 13: 5 Chisum- Very consistent and faces lesser (as they all do); 3 Apache’s Gold- Looked good in last, perhaps; 8 Super Max N- Love the horse, hate the post, in between on the pilot; 2 C J Blaze- Lebanon shipper looks like he could contend,
