An interesting card. Gary Davis goes for 4 in a row as a driver with Ari Cruiser, a very interesting $10K conditioned claimer and some interesting youngsters (Gotta love Kurt Sugg and Dean Davis, They buy ;em to race ;em, regardless of where). Good luck!
Race 1: 9 Lewis Lavec- Dan Kennedy is an improving pilot, but he’s no Aaron Merriman; 4 Gone Shoppin- Hangs around and can improve, would love to see a catch-driver, though; 2 Kevin Goz Commando- Does work and frankly has done everything but win this year.
Race 2: 6 Crown Time Big Liz- Fresh off the 32-month layoff & moves to Ehrhardt off a good Q; 4 Miss P M- Gets McKirgan and needs a flat mile; 8 Lady Railaway- Best horse (?), worst post.
Race 3: 3 Speedy Jesse- Issues in last, but otherwise looks okay; 1 Alberto Comer- Wildly inconsistent, contends off his best; 9 Bigmacatac- Gets Aaron, but even he may not be able to overcome 0-46 in 2008-09.
Race 4: 6 Bigboppr Bluegrass- Softest group he’s seen in awhile; 3 Harmony Oaks Tom- Sick scratch the only question; 1 Fidencio- Good effort for Matt K in last; 5 Cg’s Wonder- 2nd time Lasix, debut on the anti-bleeder was better.
Race 5: 6 Leanto Prayer- From Open Stake, to Bucyrus(?!?), to Open Stake to Northfield’s winner circle; 4 Semper Fi’s Dream- Raced very well in debut at this level; 9 Rompaway Zelda- Let’s see if the straps help.
Race 6: 4 Up Front Carl- Best bet with Aaron in the bike; 9 Saucy Brown- Competes well in this class; 7 Soul Redeemer- Tough trip in last, fresh hands and a bit of back class.
Race 7: 5 Guile’s Boy- Best of these with Matt, but at 0-22 no value; 3 Breeze On By N- Por finishes, but his speed will help him; 2 Stanley Special- May need a local start; 9 Coin Of The Realm- Big efforts two and three back, one more chance off last week’s break.
Race 8: 1 Two Willow Luck- Has tactical speed & will improve; 7 Hula Lu- Kakaley helps & PP7 is his best in a month; 5 Go Cowboy Go- Leaves tactically and follows, but hasn’t done work.
Race 9: 5 Country Parson- Racing well & this is not the strongest group; 6 Sheplaystheblues- Showed little at Mea5/8; 9 Dublin Dollars- Suffers from the 2nd tier, but may be the best horse.
Race 10: 6 Supreme Ruler- Look at the 7/28 line. You need nothing else; 1 Yankee Squire- Moves up in great form and is the main threat; 3 Swing To The Top- Another chance at this class; 7 Bucknell Hanover- Lateral class move for good connections, but post is an issue.
Race 11: 5 Real Peachy- Seems to like this locale; 6 Back Home Again- Sick scratch no ’09 wins & miserable draws, but still a chance; 7 Sand Cache- Needs to pace leaving. Questionable.
Race 12: 8 Ari Cruiser- Impressive win against these last week; 5 Super Sadie- Very consistent, but Elliott chose off; 2 I Be Strollin- Having a solid year and draws inside main foes.
Race 13: 9 Eza Rich King- Raced okay for Aaron three back and somebody has to win this; 2 Stand N Shout- Usually does some work; 4 Nl Nuclearmedicine- A few minor bids, on the ticket, not much more; 3 Break The Bank- 6/22 line says he can contend with right trip.
