Well, we are on a decent roll and it may actually be time to grab the bankroll and make some real wagers. Lots of winners, a few straight supers, some good value plays and plenty of boxes. Here are Friday's picks, a day early, in the interest of serving you better. Yeah, that's why.
Race 1: 2 Tag Dancer’s Filly- Drops to the level of her last win. Will not reach ML odds; 1 Iknowwhatboyslike- Good speed and will contest this one; 5 Kosher Winner- 3rd start back and tons of back class- may have bounced in last
Race 2: 6 Lady McJate- The class of this field despite getting beat last week; 2 Towner’s Big Sadie- Needs big fractions up front, may get them; 7 Drop of Nutmeg- Awesome for since going to Fraker; post is the concern.
Race 3: 3 Redmeansgo- Still a step above her best level, but not the strongest group; 4 Electric Highlight- Has not had a bad race since before the election; 2 Towner’s Great Lady- Matt K gets her best results, she gets him tonight.
Race 4: 9 Armbro Wonder- Aaron chose off for the Schillaci horse; gets Kakaley, Armstrong mare is super-sharp; 5 Rhiannon O Rhye- Fits with these; 8 Sharon’s Future- Has won form out here before, but not as sharp as she was; 4 Rosie’s Sweetheart- 3rd back and undefeated.
Race 5: 3 Mystical Blodgett- Not thrilled with her, but Matt K is- he chose over the 1 and 8; 6 Bigaffairintown- races evenly, needs to show some speed; 4 Back Home Again- Should improve 2nd time at this level.
Race 6: 3 Corleone’s Dream- Value play with a flat mile; 6 First Tier- Three solid efforts here; 2 Jarmoto- Good post draw and a contender for Stahl.
Race 7: 1 Spirit Within- Horrendous trip in last, a huge effort; wins with a repeat; 6 Lobe’s Player- Raced well in seasonal debut, won’t be 5-1 tonight; 9 Jj’s Request- Hangs around and will be on the ticket; 5 Tiger’s Big Girl- Moves up; needs to mind her manners.
Race 8: 5 Krissy K-Keeps doing everything right- barn change won’t matter; 6 Fiesty Kindof Luv- Will be moving late in the mile; 2 Packet Fulla Stars- Gets Kakaley and a class drop; but hasn’t shown me quite enough yet.
Race 9: 1 Voo Doo U Too- Lukewarm choice due to the rail; 5 Doowrah Silver- Another chance off the break; has faced better in Ontario; 9 Timecando- Shows flashes now and then.
Race 10: 1 Pat’s Fantasy- Rail gets the call in a race with a dozen scenarios, trip ‘cappers beware; 9 Survivor I Am- Two straight 8-holes meant no chance, won’t be 12-1; 3 Baby Blue Pajamas- Should be on the chooch; 2 Helene’s Escape- Almost a 3rd back angle, hit “all” for 4th.
Race 11: 5 Sara’s Lil Sis- Faces easier and took hard pressure last start; 3 Fast Attack- Can compete off her best; 2 Dee town- 3rd back, but disappointed in last, even at 20-1.
Race 12: 1 Village Catera- ETE at this level huge; last race was better than line shows; 2 Sadie Falcon- Decent effort in last for Buster and Ryan; 5 Sweetie Peetie- Gets checks against better.
Race 13: 9 Tequila- Eligible At Time of Entry off a win; gets Kakaley again, best bet; 4 Janica- Faces softer here, but needs to do more work; 6 Mindy Love Brown- Passes horses late, a rarity in this class; 3 Illegally Blonde- Inconsistent, but fits against this mostly lackluster group

Well, we cashed some boxes and a few decent winners but nothing to write home about. Redmeansgo, at 17-1, takes the lead around teh final turn and gets sidewways, eventually finishing 2nd by less than a length. Ouch.
So question for all of you-- If I give out a 17-1 to win and she finished 2nd, is it good handicapping or not?
Do you want winners, value or angles to llok at ?
